You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Somehow, while I wasn't looking, I've gotten to be a senior dog. But know that I have been adored all my life and have learned very well how to give that love back. I was a companion to an older lady who is no longer here for me and would be a perfect match for a similar person. I've got this down! Cuddle, snuggle, sleep next to my person in bed, enjoy lots of pets. I give my whole self to be loved and think of you as the light of my whole world. I will always be there for you, close by and ready to feel your touch. I am well house trained, too. Humans seem to like that part a lot! In case you don't believe me, here is what my foster has to say about me: Penny is just about the perfect little senior dog. She loves adults, children, dogs, and cats. She is house trained. She loves to snuggle during the evening and she must be allowed to sleep in bed with her family. She does well on a leash but does love to gaze at the sky in her fosters fenced yard and sun herself. She would love to have another calm dog to snuggle with too!She loved her spa day and came home to foster prancing around like a new girl!!The only requirements for Penny is she was evidently used to having her food homemade. She must get a family that will love her and make her homemade food.Penny has been vetted, gotten all her shots, and is ready to find her new home.  If you are interested in Penny, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:13 pm

Story
This little girl's name is Bunny and she earned it because in all of her excitement. and enthusiasm for life, this young Border Terrier girl hops around like a bunny rabbit.  To watch her is pure entertainment as everyone laughs and gets a kick out of watching her.   Bunny was found as a stray in a rural country. Barn and no one knows how she got there.  Taken to the rural shelter. That is very small and overcrowded, someone did step up to fall for her, but it's in and outdoor kennel and the frigid cold is soon to come.   She has a dog house, but she refuses to go in it and so she lays outside the doghouse on the ground.  Maybe she's just not used to nice things in life.  We truly don't know, but we are looking for an inside foster home or a forever adopter.  This little girl, it's only ten to twelve months old and weighs thirty one pounds. She is curious and has a very fun and dynamic personality that is big as all outdoors.  She would do well with someone that walks her regularly every day, several times a day, or takes her to doggy day care as they go to work. Or perhaps someone has a beautiful fenced backyard that she can go and hang out in,  playing to her heart's content with no real supervision, but safe!   This girl can be active and also a snuggle bunny!   We can't say that she is housebroken totally but being a year of age gives her the edge to catch on quick and get the routine down.  She is great with other dogs and would be wonderful with young children.  Bunny is ready to take the world by storm with you by her side.   Are you ready for this compact beauty to your little 'Elf on the shelf?'   Please write to critter cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  Our response will be quick and swift and full of answers for any of your questions PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 2, 2024, 10:18 pm

Story
Right here waiting! My name is Little Girl, and I'm a sweet young girl with a steel gray coat and expressive eyes. I am a loving little dog who likes to stay close to my person. I am looking for an adult home where I can be your one and only so I can be the center of your attention. I can be a little timid when meeting new people. I warm with a soft approach and a gentle voice, but it can take a little bit. It has been reported by my previous owner that I have excellent house manners and can be a real sweetheart. I would benefit from taking it slow and learning new things at a comfortable pace. So if you think we can be a match, come on down to the shelter so we can meet. I will be waiting!

Story
Come out and play! I'm Dash, a curious and spirited boy who is always up for sniffing out new adventures. My playful nature means I'm a big fan of games, especially tug! I can be just a tad timid at first, but once I get to know you, I'm all wagging tails. I'm smart too - I've mastered sit, shake and I’m great at checking in with you. I would benefit from keeping busy with games and chews. I'm eager to learn more and would make the perfect training partner. I am crate trained and always can settle in my crate if you leave the house and at bedtime- and even better with a peanut butter kong. I would trade my life savings for a hot dog, which makes me wonderful when learning new behaviors and tricks, and even better I am clicker trained! I walk beautifully on a leash and want to walk by your side and check in with you along the way. I live to please. I make these adorable little grunts, when you scratch that sweet spot behind my ear. I have the sweetest face and never turndown an opportunity to gaze at you with big puppy dog eyes. I'm super attentive and will always be there to listen to everything you have to share after a long day. I have energy for whatever you want to do, but I also promise to match it with an equal amount of love. I will tell you that I prefer people to other pups and would like to be your one and only. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and smart companion, then I'm your guy. Adopt me and let's start our adventure together! Dash's new family will receive ongoing support from our Behavior and Training team, a year's supply of free food and a shopping spree courtesy of Pampered Pet (https://pamperedpetboutiquebarkery.com/), a $250 gift card to Sniffspot (for private dog parks where Dash can run https://www.sniffspot.com/), and a standard behavior modification coaching package (valued at $750) with a local dog trainer. His adoption fee has also been waived.

Story
Getting to know you! Hi I’m Cookie, and I’m a sweet girl who loves pets. I can be a little shy when I first meet you, but I warm with a gentle approach. I love good scratches and when you hit the right spot, I’ll lean into you for more. I also enjoy enrichment items such as snuffle mats and licky mats and would love to continue my training with you. I will do well with someone that can comfortably broaden my horizons and build my confidence. And did I mention I love toys? A good game of tug or fetch and I couldn't be happier. At least two in my mouth at one time makes me a very contented girl, indeed! I am sure to blossom with just a little patience and will make a wonderful companion and confidante for a loving family.
