I am a goofy, adorable girl with a strong herding instinct and a desire to please her people. high energy and loves to run, will play almost any game but is too gentle with her humans to dare tug-o-war. I have been through five weeks of puppy training:) My known commands are “sit”, “focus”, “leave it” and “wait”. and I am housebroken. I am full grown at 12 months old - weighting about 40 to 45 lbs. ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. Meet Bow!  Bow is a one year old, 14 pound Schnauzer/Cairn Terrier mix. Bow is an energetic youngster who loves to run around and play with chew toys. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night and does very well being left at home for an hour or two in his crate with no barking. He is mostly potty trained, having had just a few accidents at his foster home. He does great with the two resident dogs at his foster home and responds to their cues very well. He walks pretty well on a leash. He is very fearful of strangers—both humans and dogs—when on walks. He barks aggressively, and he does lunge and nip at people's ankles or clothing. After a few minutes of being around someone new he calms down and is fine. Because of this, he cannot be in a home with children. He will need training to work on this behavior. He would do best in a household with lots of opportunity for exercise and play each day. He is microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. His history: He was being used for breeding along with other hundred of doodle dogs so, we rescued him along with other sweet doodles. Todd is a very smart boy. He shows uneasy on the 1st day of meeting you; but after couple days he becomes very lovable, happy, playful and obedient. He is one of the few doodles who really listen. He is mellow and active, gets along with other dogs - and cats and loves children and people. Although, at the beginning he will feel he is bigger than other dogs; but he will adjust. Very smart cookie. Just adorable. He loves to play with you or other dogs; and loves to go on walks. He is crate trained. He is also a lap pup; and has the perfect size to travel in cabin with you.
