Story
Bluey came to us as an owner surrender from an individual who was unable to dedicate the necessary time and patience to raise a young puppy. Due to the instability during her first few months of life, Bluey needs an adopter who will provide her with lots of love, praise and cuddles as well as boundaries so she can grow into a confident dog. Her foster family has worked diligently on Bluey’s leash, potty and crate training. Her forever family will need to continue working with her, as she is curious and quick to learn when she has boundaries and consistency. Bluey is still learning to feel safe when her trusted humans leave her at home, and her adopter will need to spend the first few months working through her separation anxiety so she can feel comfortable being left at home. Bluey is being fostered in a home with other dogs and a child, and she’s done well around cats. She will be happy in a home with or without pets and kids, as long as her humans shower her with cuddles and belly rubs.

Story
Hi! My name is Mozart and I’m at the Santa Barbara Campus. I’m a 4 year old male Terrier mix who is eager for a new home! I was transferred here from an overcrowded shelter in Fresno where I was found wandering. Upon meeting me, it may seem like reserved and shy, but once you give me chin rubs I will seek for more of your attention then crawl into your lap and stare at you. I'm a dreamy boy who would benefit from a mellow household as I love going on walks and then lay beside you while you read a book or watch a movie, older kids would be preferred. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
