Story
Meet Winnie! Winnie is the sweetest, well-mannered girl! While in her foster home, Winnie has shown that she is always listening and responds well to direction. While she can be a little shy at times, she truly enjoys her walks and going on adventures! Because of her shy nature, Winnie would do best in a home with children older than 7 who can respect her space. She also rides well in a vehicle and demonstrates great patience when left for short periods. Winnie is a wonderful companion ready to bring joy to her new home! Reach out to meet her today! Winnie is also Heartworm Positive, which means she is available for foster-to-adopt while Animal Friends Alliance provides treatment. Don't worry, though, I've got a normal long life ahead of me, just need a few months of TLC and I'll be good to go! Before you ask, it's not contagious to other dogs, cats or people. Please call 970-484-8516 or email adopt@savinganimalstoday.org with questions!

Luke is a big, happy, affectionate puppy who hasn’t grown into his paws yet. He loves playing with his sister, is super food oriented and loves his cuddles. He isn’t quite house trained yet but uses his pee pads, and goes the whole night in his foster's bedroom without accidents. With consistency and patience, he'll be a pro in new time! He is still nervous of new experiences but is super attentive and is quick to figure things out. He loves his bones and toys, exploring the backyard, and tummy rubs. He would likely love a canine companion to show him the ropes and give him the confidence to face the big world outside! Ask about meeting Luke today!

Hi friends! I'm new to Colorado and I love it here! I love to run around in the yard, chasing my sister, random leaves, or toys. I'm very playful, but not in a hyper way. I am so smart, I listen well when my foster folks tell me something. I would love to be trained and if you have a few treats in your hand, I'm all attention! I am also very chill and snuggly. Doing fine with the crate overnight, but if I can have my naps on a couch against a person, that's the best. My foster says we are the best behaved pups ever. If you're looking for a smart, sweet, happy fella to make your world a gajillion times better, you should come meet me! Prepare to swoon, though. *Come meet me this Saturday (02.28.25) at the Fort Collins PetSmart from 10am-2pm! This event is first come, first served so we recommend arriving early if you have a specific furry friend in mind! This event operates on a number system so upon arrival make sure to get your number and we will call numbers up in groups! Please note in order to receive a number you need to be an approved adopter within the last 3 months. We will have paper applications available at the event as well as our application via our website! We hope to see you there! :)*

Princess Leia lives up to her name; she is adventurous, bold and quick to learn; she even learned ‘sit’ today (02/25/25)! She is semi house trained, and with patience and consistency, will be a pro in no time. She loves playing in the back yard, bones, toys and cuddles (once she gets to know you as she IS a “Princess”). She is leash training in baby steps and she would benefit from another older dog to set her an example! She loves playing with her brother, and is interested in neighbor dogs though she has yet to meet them, cats or children. Ask about meeting Leia today! *Come meet me this Saturday (02.28.25) at the Fort Collins PetSmart from 10am-2pm! ADOPTION FEE: $525 Meet Ash! This adorable man is apart of the forrest litter! Him and his siblings are ready for their forever homes! From his amazing foster: (2/14) "Ash is a bright and curious little pup who’s mastering the art of potty training like a champ! He is fearless and full of adventure, he eagerly climbs stairs and explores every new sight, smell and sound with tail-wagging excitement. This happy boy never misses a meal and always has room for a treat. When he’s not playing with his foster pup-siblings or making new friends, Ash loves to snuggle up for cuddles. He is extremely sharp, attentive and is so sweet, he’s sure to bring joy to his forever family." We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Hi, we have had Ruby for almost 5 months. We got her from a family friend who was in desperate need of getting rid of her as his dog was trying to harm her. We took her in, in consideration we could get her trained as an emotional service animal for our 4 year old special needs child. Ruby is very possessive (which is good and bad), as she nips our children, while thinking she’s protecting me. My children have no interest in her and she may be jealous of them, but she’s a very timid dog. We’re not sure how she was treated in her previous home, but we are very scared she might hurt our kids, thinking they’re going to hurt me. She is very scared of everything and will not use the bathroom outside if there’s a distraction, as she’ll bark. So much so, if any distraction, such as kids or other animals, get close to her, she will bark so much, her bark will crack and she’ll urinate. I’m unsure of what to do, and the vet recommended a distraction bag, and it still hasn’t been a success.
