This is Walker, a Border Collie mix. He’s around 3 years old and weighs between 45 and 50 pounds. If you look closely at him, you’ll see his heart in his eyes. That’s because he is a true lover and an old soul, despite his young age. Walker wears a medium length, white and black coat which suits him well. In addition to his good looks, this boy is also a dog of great temperament; he gets along well with other dogs, kids and his foster’s cat. Walker would be a fine family dog. THIS GUY! Wow! He has come a LONG away since he's been in our care. He was scheduled for euthanasia simply because they were out of room. He and his brother Happy. So a Good Samaritan pulled them both and spared them from certain death. They have been amazing, becoming very social because they have been attending doggy daycare everyday and receiving hands in one on one professional training! Captain is approx 7-8 months old. He's shy at first around new things but warms up quickly. He is kennel trained and house trained and it goes without saying he's dog friendly since he attends doggy daycare! He's super easy to get along with just needs a patient family because he is a bit shy at first around new things. He's with Kip and Michele in their home in Memphis, Tn. Once an application has been submitted and approved Kip, who has been working with Captain one on one for several months, will speak to you and tell you all about him. Friendly Finn is a lucky dog. You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive. He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years. TRUTH! How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter. Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown. He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car. He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding. Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park. We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter. We think she is a smooth coat Border collie mix and is beautifully created with the most outstanding ears that captures all the attention when you look her way. At approximately 4 months of age, she weighs 20 lb and is a delightful foster guest at the current home that is caring for her. She loves the young children there in the home and they love her. She's great with the cat, she's great with the dog, and honestly there is not a strang person that Roxy ever shies away from. She is just about completely housebroken in literally 5 days. She's one of those rare, young dogs that makes adopting a puppy a breeze. She is eternally happy all the time and eager to go and do whatever you want to do. We think she is going to reach an ultimate adult weight of about 40 to 45 lb. She's lovely in every way and will make a great first time dog to adopt or a second dog in the home.
