Story
Foster notes on Sapphire:Sapphire is a truly wonderful dog. She is a border collie/black lab mix. She is very affectionate and cuddly, immensely smart, and loves to play with both people and dogs. Sapphire is a people pleaser and quite sensitive. Though she can be shy at first, she very soon warms up with her people, forming a very strong bond. She is never aggressive and while she rarely barks/growls, she will from time to time bark when scared or when a new guest visits her place. Sapphire is so well behaved for an 8-month-old puppy. She is potty trained, great on a leash, and an ultra-fast learner. Sapphire is a high energy pup, so as much as she enjoys laying on the couch and cuddling, she loves a good hike/walk, tug of war, or game of fetch. Would recommend at the very least being able to go to the park or have a long run/walk every day. During the day, Sapphire is clingy, but in an amazing, loving way. She is quite the workaholic, so she likes to have a lot of mental stimulation (puzzles, chew bones, games) when you`re not around. She loves when you stock the room with all her stuff. So set up some treat puzzles, hide a few bones and toys, and she`ll be more than happy when you`re gone. You will often find Sapphire sprawled out belly-up on the couch sleeping, playig with any chew toy she can find, or cuddling with her people. No matter what she`s doing though, she will always be in the same room as you. She is an incredible girl.Sapphire is an incredibly sweet Border Collie/Black Lab puppy. She is highly affectionate and cuddly, plays well with other dogs, and very smart. Though she is skittish around new people, particularly visitors in the house, she is often quick to warm up. She will get protective of her owners from time to time, but she has been learning fast to be more and more calm with new people. Sapphire loves getting belly rubs, giving little love bites, and cuddling. She is well potty trained, good in the car, great on a leash, and overall very well behaved for a puppy. She has been awesome around kids and great doing anything outdoors. Sapphire is truly a wonderful dog. She loves no one more than her owners and will never leave your side. Be patient as she may take some time to adjust to her new home!
