Story
Meet Selina – A Survivor in Need of a Forever Home! Selina is a sweet Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a past full of resilience. This brave little pup was found by an elderly couple on the side of the road, huddled alone in a ditch to escape the freezing cold. It’s heartbreaking to think of what may have happened to her littermates, but what matters now is that Selina is safe and ready to start her new chapter with a loving family. Despite her rough beginnings, Selina is a gentle soul, full of energy and eager to bond with the right person. She’s looking for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and cared for – and in return, she’ll give you all the loyalty and joy a Border Collie mix can offer. If you’re ready to provide a forever home for a truly special pup, Selina is waiting for you. Together, you can create the happy ending she deserves!Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org February 11, 2025, 3:55 pm

Story
Here is what sweet Pickle BC's foster mom tells us about her: 'Pickle BC is a real sweetheart! And she is house trained now too! She sleeps well through the night and is very easy to correct. Pickle is also a good watch dog! She is very good at keeping herself entertained with a tennis ball or bone and thankfully, is non-destructive inside or outside. She's very quick to get to food that falls on the floor and loves her meals! She would be great in a home that has a playful dog already and has someone a good part of the day. Pickles loves everyone in the family and doesn't play favorites. She has really come out of her shell and she will make an excellent family pet!!' We think she really needs to be in a home with another playful or confident dog to help her continue to progress. If you are interested in this beautiful and sweet pup, please let us know! Thank you for your interest in Pickle BC! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=17949 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Pickle BC, or to submit an online application. Story
We have had Caius since he was a puppy, just four weeks old. He’s now almost 7. We were fostering him at the time but we fell in love with him (his name is actually the name from the foster company but he stole our hearts and the name stuck!). He’s the sweetest and loyalist dog once he gets to know you, but he’s difficult with strangers and small kids. We live in a suburb and we’ve done our best to give him the best life, but the suburb life is hard for him with neighbors nearby. We want him to have larger fields where he can run. He is active and loves playing with his toys and chasing balls and birds. He’s one of the few dogs that I see that independently makes up games for himself with his toys! He’s incredibly smart and could chase a ball for hours. The ideal environment would be a place where he has open fields and enough space where it’s okay if he doesn’t interact with visitors (he will bark and growl). We are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he finds a good home.

These pups are in Fairfax, Virginia too!

Story
Meet Tex, a sweet boy of about 9 months. A true cattle dog!! Their foster parents have been very attentive to him and his sister Charlie. It shows in their behavior and personalities. As you can see below, Tex LOVES water!!!! He thinks he is a fish!!! He loves play pools and if there's not a play pool, he will try to get in a 5gal bucket with his front paws. He's very playful and wants to be around people. Loves people! He has done well with our five dogs and a new barn cat. I would not recommend chickens. Sadly he wants to play with them! He would be wonderful in a family setting... We are only asking for transport cost to PA, RI or other states in which we travel to! These are two super sweet kind dogs and will provide your home with unconditional love and joyous laughter. Please pm us with any questions RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Meet Charlie, a sweet girl of about 9 months. A true cattle dog!! Their foster parents have been very attentive to her and her brother Tex, also listed. It shows in their behavior and personalities. As you can see below, Tex and Charlie really love each other. We wanted to adopt them as a bonded pair but it has proven to be to much. She loves to play pools and interact with people and other animals. Charlie has shown no aggression with the barn cats and they do not seem to bother her at all. She is very playful and wants to be around people. Loves people! She is a more laid back dog than Tex. Charlie has done well with our five dogs and a new barn cat. I would not recommend chickens. Sadly she wants to play with them! She would be wonderful in a family setting... We are only asking for transport cost to PA, RI or other states in which we travel to! Story
Meet Myrtle, a delightful 5-year-old miniature Australian shepherd and chihuahua mix, weighing in at justs 34lbs! 🥰 With her sweet and gentle nature, Myrtle embodies the perfect blend of calmness and affection. She enjoys going for leisurely walks, where she can explore her surroundings at her own pace, taking in all the sights and sounds. At home, Myrtle loves to bask in the warm sunshine, finding the coziest spots to lounge, whether it’s on a sunny patch of grass or curled up on the sofa beside you. Her easy-going personality makes her a joy to have around, as she’s content to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Myrtle is not just house trained; she's also a well-mannered girl who adapts well to various living situations. She has a friendly disposition and does wonderfully with both cats and other dogs, making her an ideal companion for a multi-pet household. However, due to her calm nature, she'd thrive best in a tranquil environment and would prefer to avoid homes with small, boisterous children. This lovely girl is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and eagerly searching for a home where she can share her love and companionship with a caring family. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will bring warmth and joy to your life, Myrtle might just be the perfect match for you! ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such.
