Story
Hello, future family! I'm Daisy Mae, a large and lovable black dog with a heart as vast as my midnight-hued coat. I've been patiently waiting for 507 days to find my forever home, and I believe this Christmas could be the one where I finally get to spend my days surrounded by love and warmth. About Me:I'm a gentle giant, known for my soulful eyes and an unwavering spirit. Typical to my shepherd lineage I can be wary of strangers, but, once I know, you are my person I love with my whole being. Despite my 507 days spent at the shelter, I've never lost hope that the right family will come along and see the joy I can bring to their lives. I'm well-behaved, house-trained, and ready to share my love with someone special. My Christmas Wish List:To make my time at the shelter brighter, I've curated an Amazon wish list filled with items that would add a touch of festive cheer to my days. If you're feeling extra generous this holiday season, consider checking out my list and making my Christmas dreams come true. It's not just about the gifts; it's about the love and thoughtfulness behind them. https://a.co/fH47PqL How You Can Help:If you're not in a position to adopt right now, you can still be a part of my journey by contributing to my Amazon wish list or sharing my story. Your kindness could make this Christmas one to remember.  Adoption Details:Ready to make my dreams come true? Just fill out the no obligation, application to schedule a meet-and-greet.  ##1560455##

Story
Mikka is a 40 lb, spunky Border Collie mix. This girl is really loving life. She is a very sweet girl, but is a bit insecure(aren't we all). Mika would thrive with people that will help her learn and feel secure in the world. She enjoys meeting new people, going on car rides, and LOVES spending time outdoors. She loves her morning walks and has a favorite ball that we play fetch with in the yard. Mikka is super smart and catches on to new things quickly. She knows sit, down, to wait to come out of her crate before you say okay and listens super well when you ask her to crate up. She does okay with other dogs but is definitely on the defensive till she gets comfortable, She'd thrive the most as an only child. She needs an active family that will keep both her mind and body stimulated. She is slowly learning to be a great cuddler. Mikka is a very sweet girl and would be a great companion, she will love you with all her heart. She has a lot of herding instincts and would be great for working/sports/competition. She is also very fast. If you are looking to a buddy that’s always ready to go look no further than Mikka. To adopt Mikka, please apply at www.htxdogrescue.org.

BILINGUAL POOCH  Estimated DOB 10/29/19, weight 55 pounds Hello!  My name is Lucas, and I was abandoned at a vet clinic where I was tied to the front door.  Fortunately, the clinic found a client who agreed to take me in and foster me. The vet helped get me hooked up with an adoption program, so here I am, a HOPE dog now! I love playing with balls and squeaky toys, going running with my foster mom’s neighbor, and sunning in the backyard in nice weather. I like to play with other dogs, but I like to wrestle. It looks/ sounds rough, so I may be better as the only-pet child. I'm a smart boy who already knows "sit." I'm crate trained, bilingual, and ready to snuggle with you! Arrange to meet me today! HOPE ID: D23-0211-0010 If you are interested in Lucas and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you.  November 27, 2024, 5:10 pm

Story
GREAT FAMILY DOG  DOB 11/1/18, weight 65 pounds Hey there, everyone! I’m Kodi, a sweet, loving, and playful red Australian Stumpy-Tail Cattle Dog mix. (This is an AKC breed that is NOT an Australian Cattle Dog with a docked tail.) We are a naturally bob-tailed breed that stands square with plenty of leg-length under our bodies. My hooman mom describes me as “a great family dog” because I get along great with adults, kids, cats, and other dogs. You name it, I’m easy to please. Like my brother Gordo, I can’t get enough of playing fetch, and I’m an expert at focusing on the ball. I should be an Astros outfielder! After a rousing game of fetch, I enjoy being a couch potato with Gordo. I pride myself on my dedication to guarding my foster home.  When my owner died, a relative gave me to my new mom. She loves me, and I do fit in great here, but unfortunately she is under the threat of eviction and wisely is trying to find me the perfect forever home that I deserve. Do you have room in your heart and hearth for a big, burly, and handsome red man who will love you 200%? Then arrange to meet me, and let’s begin writing a new chapter in our lives together! Incidentally there are advantages to adopting an adult dog like me. I have perfect house habits and won’t chew or destroy your stuff. HOPE ID D24-0316-0006 If you are interested in Kodi and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Story
GIVES MUSHY PUPPY KISSES Est. DOB 7/1/23, weight 25 lbs. Hi! I'm Poppy, an affectionate, playful, and energetic Australian Kelpie/ German Pinscher mix gal who’s also very sweet and gives lots of kisses. I've got the ears and build of the Australian Kelpie, who was bred to herd sheep, but I'm the size and colors of a German Pinscher. I’m an outgoing, sociable pooch whom many people wanted to pet recently when I rode around in the shopping cart at Home Depot. Did I mention I LOVE getting petted -- especially on my belly? Nothing makes me happier than interactively playing with my pawrents with double-tug rope-toys as well as marathon games of Frisbee. I’m a happy, wiggly gal who loves zooming around the yard. I like to chew on things -- mostly bones and my squeaky toys. My foster family works out in their garage, and I haven't quite gotten the hang of quietly sitting still while they work, but I’m learning because I just enjoy spending time with them. When I was a young puppy, I was adopted from a local shelter, but later my family abandoned me in my future-foster family's neighborhood. I guess you know that, because of inflation, lots of owners can’t afford their pets and are either dumping them or leaving them behind when they move out. Thank heavens my foster pawrents brought me inside and promised to find me a wonderful forever home. I enjoy playing with their older female dog, but the senior cat hasn’t yet warmed up to my friendly overtures. So now I’m ready for a permanent home this time around. I would really like to find a family who can love me for just who I am! Do you think it could be you? Arrange to meet me, and I just may cover your face with mushy puppy kisses.
