Available for adoption, meet Bear! This very handsome boy is about 7 months old and weighs around 45 pounds. He and his brother Teddy have been doing great in their foster home. They are loving, sweet, eager to please and listen to commands. They have been learning so much – potty manners (they're getting there), how to behave around cats, what “no” means. They discovered they love lake water! Both Bear and Teddy are neutered and up to date on shots. Adoption fee is $140. If you are interested in adopting Bear or Teddy (or both!) contact Linda at 817-564-2085.

Story
Solomon has a soft, loving spirit! He’s shy but after some training he still jumps on visitors. He is learning. He was heartworm positive but we had him in treatment and now is completely normal. He loves his sister BC but doesn’t want to play with our alpha BC. Causes concern for us. Sometimes growling occurs. Believe Solomon would like to be an only dog. He loves being outside to just sit or relax with the breezes. He is a bit heavy but enjoys being a lap dog. He sits, down, come and additional commands. He’s eager to please the master. We want the best for him and ask -please give him more love!!

Story
Howlywood Undead was brought in as a stray and was never reclaimed. He is a friendly, rambunctious boy who absolutely loves people and thrives on attention. He has a big personality and isn’t shy about using his voice—especially when left alone—so apartment living would likely not be the best fit for him. Howlywood is great with kids, strangers, and cats, but he is not good with other dogs or livestock, so a home where he can be the only dog is recommended. He is potty trained when taken out frequently and does best with a consistent routine. He did well being left alone and will continue to thrive with structure and regular outings. True to his heeler breed, Howlywood can be mouthy and does like to nip, and he can jump up which may result in scratches. This behavior is not aggressive, but adopters should be prepared to work on manners and provide appropriate outlets for his energy. He loves going on walks and enjoys getting out and about. Howlywood walks fairly well on a leash but can be very excitable and is still learning to walk calmly at your side. He rides great in the car and loves attention, being pet, cuddling up, and cozy warm blankets. His foster describes him as a great dog who just wants to be loved. Howlywood Undead is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and on prevention.

Story
Hansel and Gretel were brought to us from another shelter and are now ready to find their forever homes! These two are a lively, energetic pair of puppies who love to play, run around, and spar with each other like typical siblings. They’re full of curiosity and puppy energy and will need families ready for all the fun (and work!) that comes with raising a young puppy. Since they are still finishing their puppy vaccinations, we have not been able to officially dog test them yet, though they may do well with other dogs. We do not know how they do with cats or livestock. Hansel and Gretel are very much typical puppies and will need patience and training as they grow. They have had little to no training so far, which means they’ve never been on a leash, may have accidents in the house, and will likely chew on things they shouldn’t. With time, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, they have the potential to grow into wonderful companions. Hansel and Gretel have received 2 out of their 3 DHPP vaccinations, their Bordetella vaccine, and de-wormer. They are pending on a spay/neuter respectively, microchips, and rabies vaccine.

Story
Araya is a gentle, affectionate girl who has stolen the hearts of everyone she’s met! She’s the total package—loving, well-behaved, and eager to please. Araya absolutely adores people and loves nothing more than cuddling up close for some belly rubs and movie-night snuggles. Her foster family shared that she was a dream guest—no accidents, no destruction, and perfect manners in the house. She did great being left loose inside for a few hours, and she also does well crated when needed. Araya walks nicely on a leash, enjoys car rides, and even did great for a bath! Araya gets along wonderfully with cats and does fine with dogs, especially after a slow introduction. She can be a little protective of her food or toys, so a patient adopter willing to guide her with positive training will help her shine even more. Her most recent foster believes she’d do fantastic with a confident, friendly dog companion to help her feel secure. Araya is very smart and learns quickly—she’s the kind of dog who wants to make her people proud. She can be a bit nervous with new situations, loud noises, or sudden commotion, but she settles beautifully in a calm and understanding home. Araya is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and on prevention. She’s ready to find her forever family—one that will give her the love, security, and belly scratches she deserves!
