Boysen is a genius puppy at only 3 months old. Personality Who is the smartest puppy of all? BOYSEN! IQ off the charts, Boysen is a credit to his breed(s). Border collie? Shepherd, husky mix of some kind. Floofy thick fur, and cuddly pudgy stocky body perfect for carrying around like a baby. He loves being held and is playful to the max. He makes instant friends and is super confident around everyone. He gets it. So young ~3 months old, already potty trained, already understands so many words, obedient, and crate trained. Amazeballs. He is a loverboy! Uber playful and loves other dogs. Background Boysen is a puppy found by a woman who has saved many past GNAR stray foster dogs. Story
Rachel - Border Collie/Lab mix - Female - 4.5 yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Rachel: this gorgeous 4.5-year-old Border Collie Lab has returned to us as her needs and her families availability simply grew apart, like it happens sometimes. Rather than fitting a square peg into a round hole, it was determined that Rachel would be happier in a home that can more closely fit her needs. Rachel likes to have something to do, either playing with a toy or one of her dog friends or going for a walk. She seems to have a permanent smile on her face, and loves attention. She can be a little sneaky and will find unsecured garbage cans and unattended food - as she is very smart. She fine with relaxing with her pack after some playtime. Rachel is fine with most other dogs - she can be a little slow on picking up subtle social cues form other dogs ("I don't want to play right now" - "OK, how about now" 5 seconds later...) so tolerant dogs are the easiest fit, and while she is pretty easily corrected and redirect, you may have to repeat yourself a few times for her to believe you. She does want to please her humans and loves to cuddle. Rachel does not like to be left alone, and is looking for a home where someone is home a lot and can devote time and energy to her exercise, training and give her the attention and affection she craves. Some dogs handle changes easily, Rachel is not one of them, so an experienced and patience handler is preferred. Rachel would do best in a home with another dog or more than one, she loves kids, is house trained, but does not like to be alone and is not a fan of the crate. She can be crated and is currently crated, albeit in a rather high security crate. She is highly food motivated, which is great for training, is fine in the car, her leash training could use some fine tuning, but she is making great progress and has attended numerous group classes with her trainer with great success. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet, as not all dogs come to all Meet and Greets***

Story
Hello there, I'm Wilkins! I'm a sweet, friendly, and funny dog. I've got a lot of love to give and laughter to share. My favorite thing in the world is making people happy. I'm great with kids and other dogs too! I've been told I have a knack for making new friends. I love playing fetch and going on walks, but I'm also content just lounging around and enjoying the company of my human friends. I'm a loyal companion who's ready to bring joy to your life. Adopt me and let's make wonderful memories together!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. She is Xena The Warrior PrincessXena was born approximately July 15, 2021.  She is a GORGEOUS Border Collie/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix or Tri-Colored Rhodesian Ridgeback.  Her personality is true to her breed! Xena's foster mom and dad have 3 other dogs that she likes to play with and share toys with, but she has also learned to be by herself.  Her foster mom says she needs an active family with another dog or multiple dogs. Xena needs room to run to get her energy out.  She likes going for long walks and exploring the wilderness. Xena sleeps with her foster mom and dad in bed with all the other dogs. It gets a bit crowded but she does love sleeping with the pack. This makes her feel safe. Xena does not like to be in a kennel or crate.  So, a family that is at home would be ideal. She likes eating ice cubes!  Xena says 'When mom gives me fresh water in a bowl she puts in extra ice cubes for me. That makes me feel special and loved.'  Xena loves riding in a vehicle and knows not to jump around and act like a baby. She can walk on a leash pretty well as long as she has her harness on; Xena is not a fan of collars. She also knows a few commands like “stay”, “no” and “potty”.Xena will bark at strangers until she gets to know them.  Her foster dad has taught her to fetch.  She loves chasing the ball and bringing it back, it’s the letting it go part that she has a hard time with BECAUSE she also loves to play tug of war.  Xena is also a fan of the Laser Light.  She thinks they are fascinating!Xena is Special Needs because if and when she gets too excited she has seizures.  The vet attributes this to a blow to the head as a puppy.  Therefore, she needs to be in a home that understands how to deal with occasional seizures.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 25, 2024, 3:51 pm

Story
Meet Henry! He’s a loveable, 86lb, neutered male, border collie mix who is about 4-5 years old. He loves going on walks, exploring in his yard, cuddling with his people, and is shameless about asking to be petted with a head nudge. He knows basic commands (sit, shake, down), enjoys his kennel, and is house trained. While he is fostered in a home without other pets or children, he has interreacted well with other dogs and would be best with older children. He is not bothered by loud noises, but he is cautious about new things, new people, and the dark. Henry is ready to find his forever home! Applications at bigloverescue.org.
