Story
Meet Raya! A spirited three-year-old Border Collie/Labrador Retriever mix from Houston, TX, who radiates love and energy in her sleek black coat with charming white accents. At 48 pounds, Raya is a medium-sized bundle of joy with a heart as big as her personality! Raya’s zest for life shines through her favorite activities: playing tug of war, fetching her beloved toys, and exploring the great outdoors on walks. She’s a quick learner, thanks to her intelligence and formal obedience training, and proudly shows off her ability to sit, stay, lie down, and masterfully "leave it." Her boundless energy is matched only by her affection, making her a loving companion who thrives on connection with her people and furry friends. This lovely girl is a social butterfly! Raya adores children, gets along swimmingly with other dogs, and even finds feline friends to be delightful company. She’s a constant companion, eager to be part of the action and share in the joy of family life. Whether she’s cuddling up after a busy day of play or greeting new friends with her wagging tail, Raya brings warmth and laughter wherever she goes! Raya’s past has shaped her into the incredible dog she is today. Having overcome health challenges like heartworm, she’s now thriving, healthy, and ready to leap into the next chapter of her life. She’s crate-trained, house-trained, and accustomed to routines, making her an easy fit for a home that can match her energy and provide room for her to stretch her legs. Thunderstorms might ruffle her calm demeanor, but with love and reassurance, she quickly settles back into her happy self. Raya would flourish in a home with a backyard, active pet parents, and a lively household where children and other pets fill her days with play and affection. Are you ready to add a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining companion to your life? Raya is waiting to meet you and embark on a lifetime of adventures! Contact adopt@joyfulpets.com to make Raya part of your family—she’s ready to bring her sunshine to your home! What exciting memories will you and Raya create together?

Story
SWEET SWEET SWEET! Found as a stray dumped in the country. Amazingly, Finn has a great temperament and has been evaluated by an accredited behaviorist. He passed all his tests with flying colors. We are happy to share her evaluation with any prospective family. Finn is about 3 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations, hw negative and microchipped. He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside. Finn LOVES people! He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic. Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him. He will make a fabulous addition to the right family. For more information on adopting Finn, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com or call 903-967-3226.

Story
Marco is full of love and is eager to have some fun in a foster home while he recovers. Reason for Foster: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) Foster Time Frame: 2 Weeks Foster Care Plan: Marco is currently undergoing treatment for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. There is a possibility that he is contagious to other animals, so we strongly recommend keeping him separated in a bedroom or bathroom away from your personal pets until he has fully recovered. He will go home with medication and once his medication is completed he will have a recheck to move forward with surgery/adoption. Foster to Adopt Program: Marco is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/ or email us at foster@operationkindness.org to learn more.

Story
Sweetest SADIE is still looking for a family. She's pretty neutral with her dog friends as long as they do not try to be dominant of her.  She can be super playful!  She gets zoomies, and loves playing in water! She's great with and LOVES kids. We believe she is part kangaroo the way she hops at times when excited and may accidentally cause a little human to tumble so older children who are steady on their feet may be best. She is totally fine with cats once they accept her and the newness wears off, but you have to be willing to work with her and your cat quite a bit in the beginning. She is a jerk in a crate. Definitely not her strong suit. We get it given her life before rescue. She HATES the sound of Thunder so storm season has been super fun but all you have to do is snuggle and reassure her and she's just fine. She does not require a whole lot of activity but she is a slippery one who we could see being able to jump a 4ft or chain link fence if she really wanted to! A minimum 6ft, solid fence is a must because of this. Sadie does walk great on a leash though and loves going for rides! She is also solid on the potty training and only weighs 45lbs! Her strongest quality is her huge heart and eagerness to learn and make you happy! She will give you everything if you just give her love. Despite the lack of attention and affection Sadie got for the 5 years she was outside alone in a filthy 4x6 dog run... she has alot of love to give and is a GREAT COMPANION! If Sadie sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please submit an application and meet this sweetheart! If she sounds like the perfect pup for someone you know, please share her with them! She truly deserves an amazing home! ##1823952##
