Story
My old family gave up on me and could no longer take care of me. I like to sit in the back of my kennel and then the second I see you come running up to the gate. I love to be given treats, I will eat almost anything you hand me. I am a quick learner and have learned some of my basic commands. I like to get my nails trimmed and love baths. I have this cute look about me when I hear a sound I tilt my head to the side. I love to give kisses to kids and have met a couple of dog friends. I am so looking forward to being apart of your family. ##1785803##

Story
Midnight and his sister Maddy were born under an abandoned house. They had little chance for a good life in a bad neighborhood. We took their Mom and her pups to save them from starvation and life on the streets. Dad is unknown but pups are not large for their age. We think they will be Moms size (about 50lb) or smaller. If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. When Bandit was picked up by Animal Control in rural Oklahoma, he was almost completely feral. He acted like a dog who had never had any interactions with humans -- he wasn't aggressive at all, but he definitely had ZERO trust for humans and did everything possible to avoid being touched or handled. Over many months of work, we earned his trust, and he began to act as though he actually ENJOYED interacting with us. Once Bandit reached the point where he could be handled without causing him too much stress, we took care of his veterinary needs and then moved him to a foster home where he could learn more about being a house pet. He learned to walk very nicely on a leash, and he even does well walking on a coupler with another dog. He prefers sleeping in a crate at night, and happily puts himself to bed at the end of each day. Bandit gets along really well with other dogs, and is very playful. He doesn't discriminate either -- he plays with dogs of all sizes and ages, and plays with just as many male dogs as female. He has learned to tolerate grooming, and we think he actually enjoys being brushed, which is a good thing, considering his beautiful, plush coat. When our chores are done and we sit on the sofa in the evening, Bandit is often the first one to come and sit next to us and nudge our hand with his nose to ask for some attention. He has definitely come a VERY long way from the frightened, feral dog we picked up in January of 2018. Working with dogs like this takes lots of time and patience, but the rewards are immeasurable. Bandit is still shy on meeting new people, but he definitely warms up. He does best when he has at least one other dog around who is confident/trusting of humans, because he will follow their cues. And besides, he really likes playing with another dog, so is just happier when he has a companion. If you have a friendly dog who needs a great playmate, and you are ready to commit to spending 2-3 months earning Bandit's trust, please visit our website to learn more about our adoption process and complete an application: https://www.bluebonnetrescue.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 28, 2024, 12:12 pm

Story
Momma was found pregnant at the River off of Hwy 224 just outside of Commerce Texas along with a younger female dog that looked to be a puppy from a previous litter or a younger sister. She had her puppies and we have been finding them homes. She now needs care and a forever home. We haven't had her around kids or other animals but we have picked her up and also had her around other adults with no issues. She is very active and a sweet young dog. We would love to have her find a home with the dog she was picked up with if possible so they can stay together. I can provide you with photos of the younger dog as well.

Story
Bingo is a young adult, neutered male Heeler type mix. He came to Redstone missing the lower half of his back leg from a very old injury. He underwent a formal surgical amputation and recovered very well from this. He was also heartworm positive and has completed treatment.  Through Bingo's medical care process, he has been exposed to car trips, new people, new places, and a lot of hands on interaction. He has come a very long way from the drastically undersocialized dog that first arrived, but he will need management regarding socialization as he adjusts further. He was not a feral dog coming to us and has lived in a home before, he just did not have socialization beyond that.  He requires a quiet home and would do best with someone that just needs a couch buddy. He enjoyes being out in the sun from time to time, but all he really desiers is a bed in a nice quiet place to curl up in. He is good with other dogs, but mostly chooses to keep to himself.  Bingo is crate trained and house trained. He has been neutered and treated for heartworm disease, he is on monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention, he has been dewormed, he is microchipped with lifetime registration, vaccinated, and he is ready to be placed in a loving home.  Petfinder: Please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for adopton profile and application.  ##1816448##
