Cody is a beautiful \ Labrador/Border Collie Mix. He adores belly rubs and outdoor adventures, especially rolling around in the green grass outside. The perfect home for Cody would be one that has outdoor space for him to enjoy with an active family that will enjoy being with him. We are not sure how he will do with young kids under 5, but older kids we anticipate will be a great energy match for him. Same for cats... we are not sure if he has been exposed to cats either. Right now Cody is fostered in a multi dog home. Cody is making friends with other dogs. Lola is the sweetest girl. Very mild tempered and eager to please. Gets along with small dogs and girl dogs. Might be a bit feisty around boy dogs. Plays well with children, and she loves all people. She is so smart and easy to train. Very well behaved. She loves a good walk, dog park visit but is also very happy to just follow you around the house! She does think she’s only 5lbs so she will sit on you at her earliest convenience. She is not very loud, only barks to notify you of a new presence. She is great at fetch! She will drop the toys right in your hand so you will know when she is ready to play. She knows “where is your ball” as a command to go and get it whenever she gets distracted mid game. Potty trained, Crate trained, good with car rides.

Merlin is a very handsome Border Collie mix. He is two years old and weighs about 42 lbs - not too big, not too small, just right! Merlin came to Humane Tomorrow as a very shy and fearful dog, and while new things still scare him a little, at home he is a totally normal dog now. He loves to run around in the backyard, playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He really must have another playful dog to help him settle in to his new home and feel comfortable. Merlin also needs lots of sturdy chew toys and he LOVES to play fetch (but he'll chew up a tennis ball in nothing flat, so Kong-type toys are best). Merlin is a smart dog, and he will sit perfectly when waiting for the nightly treats. He is ok going for short walks and car rides (but remember - new things do scare him). He will be perfectly content to play and exercise in his own backyard where it's safe and familiar. He's probably always going to startle at loud noises and be cautious around new people, but he's getting a little braver every day. Merlin will be fine with anyone once he gets to know them, but he can play a little rough so kids over 10 are probably best for him. Merlin is an affectionate, playful, devoted dog who just needs someone who accepts him for who he is.

Volunteer Notes:- good body language passing kennels and play yards- med/high energy - jumpy when we first got out then settled nicely- easy to walk, keeps a bit of tension on leash but didn`t pull- sniffs all the things- she will do best with some daily exercise - ball in the back yard, walk, run- excellent `sit` - sat as soon as she saw snacks (after a short celebration)- takes treats nicely- sweet as she can be - enjoys cuddles
