Story
This week guy was left locked in a cage for a couple of months. Since he's been in rescue, he is very affectionate and playful. Loves dogs, and kids but not a cat guy. We think he's about three years old and he weighs 40 pounds. Would love to have someone to run and play tug with. He would love a fun active family. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please visit funnyfarmpets.org, or you can read all about our Tennessee based rescue and find the link to submit the adoption application He is ready to go!

Story
I was abandoned on Woodland Hills Road in Erin, TN. I am just a pup myself at 10 months old and have already gotten pregnant and had 4 puppies. I was left to fend for myself for 4 weeks out in the wild while trying to keep my puppies fed and protected. Luckily a Good Samaritan reported me to this rescue, and I was taken in immediately. Nothing is known about my previous 10 months of life. Who knows what I have been through. I was left out in the wilderness pregnant and alone. I developed a horrible skin condition, 2 tick diseases, and 2 parasites that ravaged my gastrointestinal tract. The tick diseases that I have and am being treated for are Lyme's Disease and Ehrlichiosis. The parasites that I have and am being treated for are Coccidia and Hookworms. All will be cleared up before I am adopted. I will need weekly medicated shampoos for my skin condition, antibiotics for the tick diseases, and a couple doses of worming medicine for the parasites. I gave birth to 4 puppies while out on my own and had to learn to feed them even though I am still a puppy myself. I am a very good mother. After being rescued, I developed mastitis, and my puppies had to be pulled from me. This is being treated with antibiotics as well. I am now safe and I am learning to be a puppy. I will be available for adoption after my ailments have been corrected and I have been spayed. You may still fill out an application and be preapproved for adoption through this rescue. I am a very gentle soul. Because I lost my trust in humans when I was abandoned, it may take me a little while to warm up to new people and places. I am housebroken and love basking in the sun. I love a good rub down and laying on the couch. Since developing mastitis and being separated from my puppies, I sleep on a dog bed beside the bed of the people that are taking care of me. I am not spayed yet. I have to wait until my milk is dried up. I am fully vaccinated, on flea/tick prevention, and on heartworm prevention.
