Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
I am Holly! I am currently being fostered in Nashville, TN and I’m looking for my furever home. I am a Border Collie mix, about 14 months old and weighing approximately 50 lbs. I am spayed, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on shots. I was found on a dirt road along a small lake near Crossville, TN and had been living in the woods for several weeks when I was rescued. I have the sweetest demeanor. I am crate trained and it is my safest space where I take refuge at all times. I prefer to take my meals in my crate. If you leave the house and I’m in my crate, I’ll be just fine. I love retrieving all my toys from around the house to collect them in my crate. I even borrow from my siblings but it's all in fun and I have not shown aggression when sharing food or toys. I know how to “sit” very well, even when running at full speed! I know basic commands including down, kennel, leave it, off, and stay. I will be very sweet, but it might take a little time for me to warm up to my new home as I am sensitive. I prefer to get to know a few small spaces very well and have a predictable routine. When walking on a leash, I get scared and pull to return home. I know with some training and consistency, I’ll overcome this! I am frightened by outdoor noises, and large machinery & equipment. My confidence has been growing since I got to spend three months living with a professional trainer who found me, and I learned so much! I have zoomies right after my meals, and enjoy lounging for the rest of the day. My foster family has a fenced yard and keeps an eye on me at all times. One of my favorite things each day is being brushed. I’m afraid of the outside and its noises scare me. I prefer being indoors and often need my ‘brave leash’ on to go to the bathroom outside. I prefer to be accompanied to my same spot. If you leave me alone outside, I might try to dig a hole. But most likely, I will come sit at the door asking to come inside. I like blankets so much that I will shred them or any type of bedding or cloth, including stuffed animals, if given the chance. I enjoy chewing on my durable rubber toys, bones, and Himalayan chews. I sometimes like to watch TV if it isn’t too loud. My former foster mom would take me to dog parks without incident. I easily go to the vet and groomer, so I must have had prior familiarity with these spaces. I am not afraid of cars and ride well in the car. I get along with my current foster brother but I tend to rough house sometimes. I’ve met a few cats and children and liked them. I try to avoid situations with lots of new things or people. I enjoy alone time and will need an owner who is patient and experienced in training to help me be the best companion I can be. I will need a reliable routine and the opportunity to play positive reward/training games every day to continue building my confidence. Please submit your application to welcome sweet Holly to her furever home! https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee whic includes registration and transfer to my new furever family.

Story
I acquired Zuko, a Border Collie, on February 11, 2024. He was born on November 28, 2023, and comes from the reputable breeder TN Border Collies in Tennessee. Zuko is an intelligent and energetic dog who has mastered basic commands and enjoys playing fetch for extended periods. While he is a wonderful companion, I am unable to provide the space he needs to thrive. I am seeking a new home for Zuko with owners who meet two key requirements: 1. Access to a spacious yard where he can run and play freely. 2. Owners who can dedicate time to engaging him through play or have children who can interact with him regularly. Zuko’s ideal environment is one that matches his high energy and need for activity.
