Story
My name is Francesca. I am approximately 14 weeks old (07/05/2024). I am the cutest, sweetest girl you have ever met. My foster mom found me wandering around a Walmart parking lot by myself. She took me in the store to the customer service desk to inquire if anyone knew who I was or if anyone was looking for me. The answer was no. One of the employees told me people dump them there all the time. Sometimes the puppies are found wandering around the parking lot and other times, they are found in a basket just sitting waiting for their owner to come claim them. Just heartbreaking Francesca's foster mom thought. So, she picked up some puppy food and loaded her into the cab of her semi-truck. That was a month ago and a few thousand miles later. Francesca is timid about meeting new people. Once she figures out the people are nice, she warms right up. She is dog and cat social. Her foster mom has been home these last few days, so Francesca has gotten exposed to horses and chickens too. Francesca is looking for a family who has patience and time to work on her getting over the shyness. She would love to go hiking and even learn agility for she is very smart. She is all about road trips. Great traveling companion. to begin her adoption, please request an application and submit a deposit. The deposit is refundable if anything should change with the adoption. The deposit is an indication of your intent of adoption. Francesca Female Not spayed Breed Border Collie mix Color Black and white Age 14 weeks old (As of 07/05/2024) Weight 19lbs Great with people, older children, dogs/ puppies, and cats/kittens, horses, and chickens Adoption Donation $525

Story
Hello. Our names are Nadia (F), Kinsey (M), Nathan (M), and Skeeter (M). Our rescuer was told our mom was a Belgian Malinois and dad was a Border Collie. We were born on July 8, 2023. We were turned over to the rescue lady when we were little babies. There were eight of us. Not long after arriving, we started to get sick. We four were and are the healthiest. When we were out playing in the yard, she often asked us where the babies went, who was sweet and shy. Who switched them out of your energizer bunnies, then laughed as we ran around like crazy kids? We are brilliant, treat motivated (easy to train), sulk when scolded, crate trained, shy at first but warm up quickly, not house or leash trained (quick learners), like cats, submissive to other dogs, and have never been around children. Our foster mom has commented how wonderful we would be on an agility course.  I want to go hiking, go to the beach, run around on snow deeper than I am tall, curl up with you in front of the fireplace, and watch a movie. I have only heard my foster mom talking about most of this stuff. If you have patience and teach me, I will love doing whatever you do. Please request an application to begin the adoption process at alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. Story
Laila was rescued from the streets of Boulder, CO, and became a part of our family at around five years old.In the three years since, she has shown herself to be an outstanding dog, exhibiting a calm nature that resonates with everyone she meets. Laila is lively yet responds well to training, demonstrating good behavior indoors, around food, and with children. However, she encounters difficulties with other dogs. Although she has canine friends and currently lives with another dog, it takes time and training for her to feel at ease sharing her space. When meeting new dogs, Laila often reacts with confusion and protectiveness, which can result in aggressive behavior. There have been a few instances of dog fights involving bites, but thankfully, no serious injuries occurred. So, being highly attentive to this issue coupled with ample space to run freely, and perhaps in a home without other dogs, you can experience Laila and her unique ability to bring calm to the people around her.
