Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.MOLASSES hails from Moose Lake in Northern Manitoba and came down south to find her forever family. She’s spayed, vaccinated including rabies and microchipped. We have no knowledge of her parents so the breeds we have her listed as are merely a guess based on the breeds she looks like. She’s just the sweetest little lady and she loves to cuddle up with you and will try and sit on your lap too. She’s pretty laid back and has a low energy level so would definitely suit a quiet home with a retired couple or one with someone who works from home.  MOLASSES is house trained and also crate trained and will sleep in her crate all night without a peep. She was originally fostered with an older cat who would just lay around or sit in his chair and she really took no notice of him. However she then went to another home and seemed to have a prey drive for the cat who lived there. So it’s hard to say whether or not she would get along with the next cat she meets and at this point in time, we’re not recommending she be with one even if they’re dog savvy. She’s really good with other dogs but she doesn’t appreciate rude dogs who’ll get into het face and bark at her as she’ll just bark right back. We are only letting her be adopted to an adults only home and one that doesn’t have children coming to visit. A fenced yard would be great for her as she does enjoy being outside.  A little bit of background history on MOLASSES: she was in her Northern community when one of the networks we work with had volunteers there to do a spay/neuter/Clinic and fell in love with the wonderful nature she has. She needed to have a spay but no one came forward to claim her afterwards so they decided she was too great of a dog to leave behind so brought her back with them. They then posted her for a rescue to take and this rescue stepped up to take her in. That little tidbit is important to point out on how they felt about her and it’s relevant to this next part about her. Molasses was adopted out into a home for 9 months with young teenagers in it and there ended up being an incident and we now have to say she has a bite history. We’re a full disclosure rescue and this incident will be discussed in full with a potential adopter. It should be noted that as soon as we received her back into the rescue she went straight to a board and train programme for 4 weeks with a Behaviourist/trainer for a full assessment and she wrote up a very detailed report on her and it is also available to a potential adopter.  It is important that the adopter of MOLASSES be prepared to take her for basic training as it not only benefits her but will help to form a bond between her and her new owner. If you feel MOLASSES would be suitable for your home and lifestyle plus you have somewhat of an understanding about her then please fill out an application to meet her. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
🐾 Hi there! I’m Joy! 🐾 I’m a lovely 3-year-old Border Collie mix with a beautiful black and white coat. I weigh 11 kg, making me the perfect size for all kinds of adventures! 🥰 My Story: I was rescued just in time from a kill center, and now I’m looking for my forever home where I can share all my love and joy. 💖 My Personality: I’m very affectionate and love to rub against people, whether I know them or not. I’m always ready for some pets! 🐶 You can lift me by putting your arm under my belly. I’m easy to handle! 🪶 Once I get to know you, I’ll happily show you my belly. It’s my way of saying I trust you! 🐾 I love meeting new dogs and always ask them to play. I’m a friendly girl! 🐕 I might need a bit of caution when meeting new dogs for the first time, especially if toys or snacks are involved. 🧸 When I see a cat during a walk, I stay focused on my human. Cats don’t distract me! 🐱 I enjoy outdoor activities and have a normal energy level. After a fun time outside, I like to rest quietly. 🌳 I tend to pull on the leash a bit, but I generally follow my human well. 🚶‍♂️ I don’t guard my food against people, but I might growl if another dog approaches me while I’m eating. 🍽️ I’m very calm in a kennel and know how to get in and out of a car by myself. 🚗 I generally only do my business outside. 🚽 Fun Facts: I’m people-friendly and get along with strangers easily. 🥰 I used to guard resources, but I’m much better now. My new family should be firm when giving me snacks or toys. 🍖 I might try to bite a stranger’s hand if I’m in a kennel, but that’s because I was traumatized while moving to a training center. 🏡 I don’t show any behavior issues at the training center, but I might need some time to adjust in a new place. 🐾 I’m looking for a loving home where I can continue to grow and share my affection. If you think we could be a perfect match, please come meet me! 🏡💕

Story
My name is Kevin and I’m a male 2-years-old Jindo mix and I’ve been on quite the journey. I hail from the countryside, where I was born alongside my siblings after our mother gave birth. Unfortunately, we were left abandoned and found ourselves in a shelter. Life in the shelter has been a bit challenging for me, making it take a little time for me to adapt to new surroundings. I might seem a bit shy at first, but give me a day or two, and you’ll see how quickly I warm up. I love getting attention and am not shy about asking for some cuddles and affection. I’ve made friends with other dogs here, so you can bet that our introduction will be filled with friendly greetings and playful antics. While I might not be a pro at walks just yet, I’m cool with quiet places. Loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me, causing me to flatten myself on the ground. If you’re looking for a calm companion who enjoys a nice stroll and some relaxation afterward, I’m your girl. I may have a burst of energy, but after a good walk, I’m more than happy to chill and relax. Sudden loud noises might make me jumpy, but with a patient and understanding friend like you, I know I’ll become more confident. I’m ready to embark on a new adventure with a loving family or individual. Could that be you? I can’t wait to bring some joy, loyalty, and a wagging tail into your life! Story
🐶 Quick Facts 🐾 • Name: Damon • Age: Estimated 7 months • Gender: Male • Neutered: Yes • Breed: Border Collie mix • Color: Black and white • Weight: 12.5 kg • Height: 48 cm (to the shoulder when standing on all fours) • Health o Vaccinations: Up-to-date, including rabies and comprehensive vaccinations. o Heartworm Test: Negative (tested in July 2024). 🐕My Story🐕 Hello! I’m Damon, a lively and clever Border Collie mix who’s always ready for an adventure. My story began on a tough note—I was found lying weak and dehydrated on the streets. Thankfully, kind people noticed me and brought me to safety, where I was nursed back to health. Since then, I've blossomed into a strong, happy pup, and now I’m ready to find a family who’s as enthusiastic about life as I am! 👨🏻My Social Side 🐕 True to my Border Collie roots, I’m full of energy and love to play. Whether it’s chasing after toys, playing tug, or running in wide-open spaces, I’m in my element when I get to move and explore. I also enjoy playing with my dog friends, and while I can be a little rambunctious, it’s all in good fun! I’m happiest with buddies who don’t mind my playful style, but I know how to be gentle when the situation calls for it. When it comes to people, I might be a little shy at first—especially around younger children who make sudden moves—but once I get comfortable, I warm up quickly and enjoy gentle pets and attention. I even don’t mind being picked up into a cozy hug! I’ve also been practicing my manners and obedience skills in a training program, where I’m impressing everyone with my intelligence and eagerness to learn. 🔋My Energy Level & Walks🚶 My energy level is pretty high, so outdoor adventures are essential for me to burn off steam. After a good play session or a nice walk, though, I settle down happily and relax. On walks, I can get a bit excited and pull on the leash, but I respond well to gentle guidance. I’m naturally focused on my human, so with a little training, I’m sure I’ll be a great walking buddy. 💕More About Me😋 As for my routine, I’m a big fan of outdoor bathroom breaks, and I’m learning about scent marking when in new places—it’s just my way of saying hello! I’m pretty quiet at home and rarely bark, but I might give a little yip if I want something. 💌Last Message💌 Overall, I’m looking for an experienced family, ideally one who understands Border Collies or active, intelligent dogs like me. I’ll thrive in a home where I can get plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation, as well as consistent guidance. With my smarts, boundless energy, and loving personality, I’m eager to be someone’s loyal and playful companion. Could you be the one to give me my forever home? 📺 Videos📺 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eflj1CXNRdU&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyZRZTBMHRH29B7CCxsyC-o

🐶 Quick Facts 🐾 • Name: Kiko • Age: 3 years old • Gender: Male • Neutered: Yes • Breed: Border Collie Mix • Colour: White & Black • Weight: 17kg • Height: 60 cm (to the shoulder when standing on all fours) 🐕My Story🐕 I’m Kiko, a sweet and resilient 3-year-old Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines as brightly as my black-and-white coat. I’m a handsome, medium-sized boy weighing 17 kg (37 lbs), standing about 60 cm tall at the shoulder. My journey hasn’t been without challenges—I was found in 2021 with a suspected hip fracture from a car accident. Despite this, I was described as “beautiful, gentle, and patient” in the shelter records. My hip healed on its own, and now I’m healthy, neutered, and ready to find my forever family. I’ve come a long way, and my loving personality has only grown stronger. 🐾My Personality💖 I’m a friendly, social pup who loves everyone I meet! Whether you’re a familiar face or someone new, I’ll greet you with a wagging tail and maybe even lean in for a cuddle. I’m gentle and patient with kids, making me a great companion for families. If you pick me up or scratch my belly, I’m all yours—I’ll happily roll over to show my trust and affection. My calm, affectionate nature makes me a joy to have around. 👨🏻My Social Side 🐕 I’m a social butterfly with dogs too! I enjoy meeting new canine friends, especially those around my size, and I’m polite and playful when saying hello. If another dog gets too pushy, I prefer to steer clear rather than engage in any drama. While I haven’t had much experience with cats, my easygoing and adaptable personality suggests I could learn to coexist peacefully with them. I’m a well-mannered, harmonious companion for both people and pets. 🔋My Energy Level & Walks🚶 I have a moderate energy level that makes me the perfect balance of active and relaxed. I love outdoor activities like walks and playtime, but I settle down nicely afterward and enjoy relaxing by your side. While I may pull on the leash a little, I’m eager to follow my human and learn new things. My Border Collie roots shine through in my intelligence and loyalty—I’m a quick learner who thrives on interaction and connection. After a good walk or play session, I’m ready for some quiet downtime at home. 💕More About Me😋 I’m a calm, adaptable dog with a heart of gold. I rarely bark unless there’s a reason, and I don’t guard my food, making me an easygoing addition to any household. I’m well-trained with potty habits and comfortable using both indoor pads and going outside. My gentle nature, intelligence, and social personality mean I’ll fit in just about anywhere, whether you’re looking for an active partner or a laid-back companion. 💌Last Message💌 If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, loving friend into your home, I’m here to be the perfect companion. I can’t wait to meet my forever family and start this exciting new chapter of my life! 📺 Videos📺 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THpkskYlAMA&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jwn36sUaqG732b_1wX00ipu
