Story
This precious boy lost the only home he knew when his family moved.  He is also battling heartworms but all of his bad luck has ended now.  Shadow is a 5 year old border collie/heeler mix (best guess) and is truly one of the sweetest pups we have met in a long time.  He is affectionate and obedient.  He goes around to greet all the other dogs each time he goes outside for potty break.  He always has a smile and a wagging tail!  We just know that his perfect family is out there - someone that will give him the loving home he deserves.  If that might be you (fingers crossed!) our applications are at www.carerescueok.org! ##2098780##

Story
Max is part of a bonded pair, bonded with his sister Aspen. Max and Aspen came from a situation where their owner not been taking care of them like they should have been. They were both in an outdoor kennel/run that had an absurd amount of fecal matter, that hadn't been cleaned for a while. Both of these sweet babies were seized due to animal cruelty. As far as we know, both dogs have spent their whole lives together. Max has been around other dogs, and gets along with everyone. Max does wonderful for baths as well. Max is a TOTAL goofball that has the cutest waddle when he walks. Speaking of! Max loves to go for walks and does wonderful.

Story
Meet Deborah Harry, the rock star of your heart! At 7 years old, this 86-pound Border Collie mix is ready to steal the spotlight in your home. She came to us after being surrendered to the animal shelter, Deborah Harry has been making her comeback in style, proving that even seasoned stars can shine brightly again. Now, don’t be fooled by her senior status—Deborah may be more "Retired Rockstar," but she’s still got plenty of energy for an encore (as long as it doesn’t involve fetch—she’s strictly a backstage kinda gal). Deborah Harry is the ultimate cool girl. She’s got that laid-back charm, a bit like a roadie who’s seen it all but still knows how to have a good time. When it’s time for car rides, she’s your wing-woman, jumping in and scanning the streets like she’s on her way to her next big gig. Errands, cafe visits, neighborhood strolls—Deborah’s all in, ready to flash that million-dollar smile to her adoring fans. And speaking of that smile, it’s the kind that could melt the iciest of hearts, complete with chocolate chip paws and a tummy just begging for a good scratch. This lady knows how to work a crowd. She loves meeting new people, offering her paw for trade-in pets, or doing the classic "lean and smile" for maximum attention. But don't worry, she’s not one to hog the limelight. Deborah Harry gets along with other dogs just fine—she’s cool sharing the stage, but honestly, she’s just as happy being the only act in town. And cats? Well, she’s curious, but she’s not planning any big showdowns. Deborah Harry is great with dog-savvy kids! She’s the kind of dog who will happily tolerate the excitement of children, as long as they understand how to handle her gentle, laid-back vibe. So, if you’ve got little ones who know how to respect a dog’s space and offer a loving pat, Deborah will be thrilled to include them in her fan club. Deborah Harry is more about the chill life these days. She’s a master of the "find your spot and lounge" technique, particularly if that spot is near the AC. Her hobbies include being brushed (she’s a total diva for it), napping on cool tiles, and giving you those “I love you” eyes that’ll make you cancel all your plans to spend the day cuddling. Now, let’s address the elephant in the room—or rather, the lipoma on Deborah’s leg. She’s got a fatty lipoma, which is just an old-age badge of honor. Think of it like the “extra” pieces that come with aging, like those uninvited gray hairs or the sudden realization that you can no longer eat pizza without regrets. It’s just part of the package that comes with getting older. Deborah Harry’s house manners are top-tier like she’s been training for a spot on "The Real Housewives of Well-Behaved Dogs." Potty trained? Of course. Chewing on non-toy items? Pfft, that's for amateurs. She’s more interested in lounging next to the AC vent like a diva waiting for her close-up. Free roam of the house? Absolutely. She’s so trustworthy she could be left alone with your favorite snacks—and they’d still be there when you got back. No digging, no fence-jumping Houdini acts, and her barking is so minimal, you might think she’s silently judging the squirrels rather than announcing their presence. She’s the queen of calm, guardian mode set to "Low-key Zen Master," and the couch? Well, let's just say she graces it with her presence but never leaves a mess. If house manners were an Olympic sport, Deborah would have more gold than Michael Phelps. In a nutshell, Deborah Harry is the epitome of easy-going. She’s the kind of girl who’ll join you for a walk, relax with you on the couch, and offer emotional support during every Netflix binge. Sure, she’s no longer stage-diving or crowd-surfing, but she’s got a lifetime of love, joy, and affection to share. So if you’re looking for a cool, calm, and collected companion with a heart of gold (and a soft spot for tummy rubs), Deborah Harry is ready to make you her number one fan. 📍 Pickup Location: Tulsa, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
