Meet Boots! This adorable 8-month-old Border Collie mix is full of love and energy. She’s potty trained, crate trained, and gets along with everyone—kids, other dogs, and even cats! Boots is a fan of long walks, car rides, and occasional puppuccinos. And if you throw her ball, she’s ready for a fun game of fetch! She’s playful, energetic, and would absolutely thrive in a home with a nice, fenced yard to run and play in. www.TheLastResortRescue.com PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS PET THE FIRST STEP IS TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION AVAILABLE AT THELASTRESORTRESCUE.COM. If you have a question or inquiry please email us at tlrapplications@gmail.com   Fiona, our beautiful Fiona, found herself being dumped at the kill shelter by her previous owner while she was IN ACTIVE LABOR with puppies. Just a year old herself at the time, she was just terrified and starting having puppies on the shelter floor. We needed to act quickly! Fast Fiona had 8 pups, 7 survived. Fiona was the BEST momma to all those giant puppies, even though she was just a baby herself. She has raised all her pups and has been in foster, decompressing from her previous life! She is such an amazing dog! She bonds quickly and deeply to her person, she's a Velcro dog, she just wants to be where you are. She likes other dogs, but doesn't necessarily require another dog. She is good with people, kids, other animals. However she was one of those ' kids having kids' so she still very puppy like herself.  She is housebroken and very well behaved!  She is Very attached to her foster family, and she is a deeply emotional dog. She is one in a million! We are looking for that one in a million human that will truly bond with her and be hers forever!  If you think that person is you, fill out the application today! We would love to speak to you and arrange a meet and greet with Fiona! She deserved to find her true ' Happily Ever After ' November 4, 2024, 12:04 am

Story
Name: Halle  *Age: 4 years old *Current Weight: 43 lbs *Adoption fee: $475  Meet Halle!! This girl is the definition of resilience! Halle came from a high kill shelter in Texas where she was seen shaking and hiding in the corner. She wouldn’t come out, even for food. SNARR was asked to pull her and indeed we did! Halle is safe and sound at our Adoption Center and is so ready to continue onto the next chapter of her life in a foster or adopted home! We believe Halle to be a border collie/lab mix around 4 years old. She has a stunning luscious black coat with golden brown undertones when the light hits it just right! One ear stands straight up while the other flops at the midway point. Halle is an absolute doll; inside and out! Halle does exceptionally well with dogs her size or larger. In fact, she is our go-to Tester Dog at the Adoption Center! Halle would do great in a home with another dog no dogs under 40 pounds or kitties for this girl!  Halle has come a long way since her first day with us. She used to hide and cower away as we came near. Now Halle greets us at the door and calmly obliges as we leash her up for the next activity! She also used to hide and shiver in the yards when we brought her out. Now she zooms around the yard and even engages in play with us! She walks in step with you on the leash. Slowing down when you slow down, stopping when you stop. A walk with Halle is dreamy. It’s been an amazing journey watching Halle gain confidence and learn to trust humans again. We are so eager to get her into a home of her very own. Could that be you?! Halle is currently located at our Adoption Center in Brewster, NY. Come out and pay her a visit!
