Story
Meet the lovely Dusik! ❤️ Dusik was born to a mother rescued from an illegal breeding facility. All of his siblings were adopted in the United States, while Dusik found a family here in Korea. However, they didn’t take good care of him and still wouldn’t let him go. He lost the chance to meet a loving family who appreciates his wonderful fur. He still deserves to be loved. Fall in love with adorable Dusik, who is as cuddly as a teddy bear! He could be loved alone, or he might thrive in a home with an energetic and playful Border Collie or Golden Retriever. He is looking for a family that can provide consistent efforts and love for him. He deserves to be loved. If you want to fall in love with him, please apply for adoption on the Welcome Paw site. ▶️Please apply for Dusik at www.welcomepawsrescue.org We are 501(c)3 registered Nonprofit Animal rescue in Korea, USA and Canada.

Story
LUDACRIS - 4 months, 27lbs, BC Mix, Neutered Expected Full Grown Size About 45lbs This puppy is joining Social Tees on 1/11 and is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program starting that day. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. His Foster Parent Says: "Ludacris, or as I like to call him 'Louie', is such an amazing companion to have at your side. He is full of energy and love and is always excited to share that with you and others. Louie loves to spend his day on long walks, meeting other people and dogs, playing fetch or chewing on toys, and being pet and cuddling. He is very respectful in the house, not prone to gnawing at household objects and is generally house and crate trained! He is apt to learn new things but is still learning the basics! He is a high energy dog with multiple long walks needed each day but will make you the most popular person in the neighborhood since everyone wants to stop and say hi to him! Louie loves to lay at the foot of your bed or at the tail end of a comfy blanket that you are using on the couch. Given his high energy level, he is very prone to pulling consistently on the leash and should have plenty of toys and mental stimulation available to him in the home to keep him from getting bored!" Level of dog ownership experience needed:INTERMEDIATE: As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Relevant puppy care experience is a huge plus, but bare minimum the adopter must have TONS of time and patience. Raising a puppy can be a lot of fun, but it’s also  tremendous work. Puppies’ personalities and exercise/stimulation requirements change dramatically between now and when they’re a year old as their bodies and brains develop, so an active lifestyle and the ability to adapt to a pup’s evolving needs are a must. We strongly urge professional dog training with a rewards based trainer from the get go. Adults only or kids ages 8 and up – all puppies go through a mouthy, rambunctious phase and often accidentally hurt children when playing. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN BREED RESEARCH to make sure you have a better understanding of the kind of temperament and exercise requirements this dog may have as an adult. Energy levelMEDIUM: Very young puppies sleep and nap a lot, but their energy level skyrockets when they become teens (4 months to around a year). As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day at a minimum. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Cuddle Bug LevelMedium — Loves human attention but usually has too much energy to cuddle. Moreso wants to play. Potty TrainedYes — Few accidents, but will not let you know if he needs to go out. Need to take him out every few hours to avoid an accident. Comfy with strangers?Yep — Wants to be friends with everyone who walks by, super social butterfly, loves anyone who will stop to say hello.  Comfortable with Children? (ALWAYS requires supervision)Yes for 12 and up — very energetic, best with older children that are big enough not to get accidentally knocked down. Occasionally barks at loud kids on the street Social with Other Dogs?Yes — Good with all other dogs (sizes, breeds, etc.) as far as we know and enjoys socializing with other canines Respectful of Other Animals? (cats, small pets, etc.)Yes. Almost all puppies have the potential to be friends with a cat. It’s on the adopter to know their cat’s temperament and preferences and to teach their puppy respectful manners. Mouthy Behavior?Medium – Is usually respectful but occasionally gets mouthy when playing. Is not destructive of anything in the home. Leash Manners?WTF is a Leash – Pulls hard. Okay in the city?Yes — Seems unfazed by the sights and sounds, they may as well have been born here. Jumping on People to Say Hi?Medium – Jumps up only on people the dog knows when really excited. Stops with correction.  Separation Anxiety?Low – Completely fine being left home alone. Doesn’t cry but is left in the crate. Crate training?Yep – Seems comfortable in the crate, may whine a little at first but settles pretty quickly. We use the crate when we leave the pup alone and/or at night. Medical status:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP and Bordetella vaccines (for dogs under 4 months old, adopters will need to finish the DHPP vaccine series and administer the Rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age), spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee or St. Thomas. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. Story
Jatelo is a very cuddly and energetic young dog. He is just over a year old. We got him from a co-worker whose friend is a Border Collie breeder. We hope he can find home where he gets all the attention and time he needs and maybe gets a little yard or outdoor space to run around in or just watch the world go by. He does love to do this and it keeps him constantly entertained :) He does require stimulation management which is an ongoing exercise. He is sometime reactive to loud sounds, unexpected movements from strangers on the street, scooters and rollerblades but perhaps taking him out of the city environment will significantly help with this being on patrol type of behavior :) He has had some growling and lunging as a result but like I said managing the situation is key. We are currently working on desensitization training and you would likely have to do the same.

Story
**Located in Korea** Finishing heartworm treatment. Rescued from the local shelter in South Korea the same day he was scheduled to be euthanized. He is estimated to be up to 2 years old and looks like a Border Collie and Jindomix. He is not very interested in playing with other dogs and is more interested in exploring and going for walks. He doesn't have separation anxiety, but when he's with people, he's always hovering over them or asking to be petted. However, it's better to give him time to adjust to the new dog, with a reasonable distance, rather than showing affection. He has a demanding bark and doesn't like to be chased by other dogs, is not picky about food and barks at strangers. Recommended to be adopted by a family with no children and a regular routine lifestyle.ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States. ##2152589##

Story
Rescue from Texas- 1yo, 42 lbs. Annie sweet and friendly pup that has had a rough first year of life. Annie was found as a stray when she was only a baby. She was taken to a shelter and then was lucky to be fostered and later adopted to a very irresponsible adopter. Annie was found wondering and end up back at the pound. Annie was deprived of food while she was abandoned, so for now food has to be served to her individually, away from other pets. Now, Annie is in a foster home and is looking for her loving family. She is extremely goofy and funny. She loves to play and snuggles. She is very yang and active, can be vocal, puppy-playful, and just a fun dog. She loves to use her paws to hold things in her mouth, just like a person. Annie loves bones and toys, she got her favorite. Sweet Annie is ready to find her forever family. She likes all humans and kids but due to her not liking to share her food, there should be older kids. Please consider adding orphan Annie to your family!
