Story
This is Freddy! Freddy is the sweetest boy ever! When Freddy came to us he was skin and bones with severe sores on his legs from living his life in a crate. Freedy loves to run around in our dog yard and play fetch. He gets along great with other dogs. He does need some work on his leash manners and is not fully housebroken yet.

Griffin was returned to us due to no fault of his own. Giffin needs a home where he has the space, he needs to get the exercise that he requires. He would love to have a job every day!! Griffin loves to play catch and is awesome at bringing the ball back to you. Griffin loves other dogs and older kids.

Story
Hazel was born about July 27, 2023 and will likely top out about 40 lbs.  Hazel came to us from  dog control for the town of New Albion which isn't too far away from us.  To us Hazel does 'seem' to be a Border Collie - she looks like one and moves like one and has some separation anxiety like one.  Hazel is going to be best in a home with her humans home much of the time.  She is doing amazing with all the other dogs here and adores us humans as well.  Hazel is a very pretty, happy, fun, and funny young lady that does ride well in the car and is fine on leash, she may dart off is she sees something small and fuzzy running by so it would be good to keep her on leash.  She would love to hear from you and have you offer her a forever home. During Hazel's spay the vet noted a non reducible umbilical hernia.  From the vet : ' Umbilical hernias are openings into the abdomen where the umbilicus enters when the dog is a puppy still in the womb, they close after birth, but occasionally some fat gets through the body wall closes fully and the fat then gets 'stuck'.  Non-reducible means the 'hole' in the body wall is very very small because I cannot push the fat back through it.  It is now a cosmetic defect - meaning you see it when examining the animal - but it has no medical significance.  It is like an 'outie' bellybutton on people.'  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html.
