Story
Meet Charlie – Your Fluffy Adventure Buddy! 1.5 Years Old 50 lbs Possible Border Collie Mix Male Looking for a high-energy sidekick who doesn’t let a little rain, snow, or Buffalo wind slow him down? Meet Charlie — a fluffy, outdoorsy free spirit with a big personality and an even bigger love for sticks Charlie was built for adventure. Long morning walks? Yes please. Evening strolls? Absolutely. Road trip? He’s already in the car. He rides beautifully and is always ready to be your co-pilot on hiking trails, nature getaways, or scenic drives. This boy thrives on movement and connection. He’s not a “just let him out in the yard” kind of pup — he needs structured walks, outdoor time, mental enrichment, and a human who enjoys staying active. When his body and brain are fulfilled, he happily curls up nearby for a well-earned nap. Charlie is still learning to navigate the world with confidence. He can be reactive to dogs and people on walks, so he’s looking for an experienced, patient adopter who understands reactivity and is committed to helping him continue building skills at his pace. With very slow, intentional introductions, he has shown he can coexist playfully and peacefully with other dogs. Because he can get overwhelmed, Charlie would do best in a quieter home with no young children (older, dog-savvy teens could be considered). He’s looking for structure, patience, and someone who will help him feel safe and secure. And let’s talk about that fluff — when his hair gets wet, it crimps into an 80s rockstar vibe that perfectly matches his wild-child spirit. Charlie’s Highlights: Active, sensitive, curious & hilarious Loves sticks, cool weather & outdoor adventures Excellent car rider Dog compatible with slow, proper introductions Best in an experienced, active home He’s not your dog-park social butterfly — he’s your loyal trail buddy, your walking partner, your “let’s get outside” motivator. If you’re ready for a devoted, goofy, adventure-loving companion and you understand that the best dogs are the ones you grow with… Charlie is ready to meet you. (73)Buddysrescue.org   ##2666766##

Story
Benny is a 2-year-old, 30-pound sweetheart whose quiet strength and loving heart shine through everything he’s been through. He was found alone in a home beside his beloved human, who had passed away over a week earlier. By the time help arrived, Benny was extremely thin and dehydrated — yet still gentle, still trusting, still wagging his tail. We don’t know exactly what happened to his paw. Our veterinarian believes it may be from a puppy fracture that healed improperly or a congenital malformation he was born with. What we do know is that it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Benny runs, plays, explores, and enjoys life just like any other dog. He keeps up with his canine friends, chases toys, and happily zooms around the yard — proof that his spirit is far bigger than any physical limitation. This noble boy is deeply affectionate and incredibly grateful for kindness. He forms strong bonds with his people and has a calm, loving presence that makes you want to hug him close. Benny gets along beautifully with everyone he meets and has the kind of soft, soulful eyes that tell you he understands more than words ever could. After everything he’s endured, Benny deserves a home filled with comfort, patience, and unconditional love — a place where he will never feel alone again. In return, he will give you unwavering loyalty, joyful companionship, and a heart that is truly one of a kind. Gentle • Loyal • Resilient • Playful • Ready to love and be loved! If you believe in second chances and forever homes, Benjamin is waiting to meet you. Benjamin will arrive in Albion, NY in mid March and we would love to have a family waiting for him! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico. Story
Name: EmmieDOB: 12/12/2025Breed: Mixed BreedSex: FemaleWeight:  9 poundsLocation: BuffaloHi, I’m Emmie, a shy girl looking for a quiet home where I can learn to be a full-fledged dog. I would do best with another friendly dog in the home to help show me the ropes. I absolutely love my foster sister! I follow her everywhere, we sleep together at night, play during the day, and snuggle up for naps. It’s the best! Don't get me wrong, I snuggle my foster mom too. I try to keep her as warm as possible during these chilly evenings while we watch our shows. I’m just starting my vaccinations, so I haven’t explored the outdoors yet. I’m am trained to do my business on puppy pads, and I hit (or land right next to) them about 95% of the time, pretty good, right? I’m also learning commands and can sit for treats. My favorite snacks are cheese and beef lung (yum!).Crates aren’t really my favorite thing. My foster mom lets me roam freely during the day while she works, and when she leaves, and I’ve been a very good girl, I only chew on my toys. At night, I sleep in the giant bed with my foster mom and sister, with no accidents at all.My dream home would be a place that is quiet with people that are patient, preferably with kids 12 years or older. I am working on building my confidence, and have come a long way. I’d love a comfy space to relax, a person to snuggle on, another dog friend, and plenty of treats. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle girl to spoil, train, and grow with, I just might be your Emmie. Note, I will be a small / medium sized dog based on my current size. If you are interested in adopting Emmie, please apply at https://www.716paws.org/adopt; or, if you are already pre-approved, please email us at info@716paws.org or private message the rescue’s page on Facebook. ##2681188##
