Story
Beautiful, yet bashful Becky is looking for someone with true patience and a heart of gold. She’s a Border Collie Mix sprinkled with a bit of nervous nellie vibes. After calm, quiet time at her pace she’ll enjoy some gentle scratches. As tempting as it may be to hug this fluffy 48lb cuteness, the kindest thing to do is to leave her alone and let her come to you. She enjoys the company of random objects so expect her hiding anything from slippers to TV remotes. Becky has not explored much of the outside world in her 3 years of life, but with soft-spoken words of encouragement she is slowly enjoying the peace of nature. Though she doesn’t mind a polite canine walking pal, she would prefer a home to herself. She has all the potential to be YOUR loving companion!

Story
George Bailey George Bailey is looking for a 'wonderful life.' Would you please give it to him? This handsome boy is a Border Collie mix. He is very sweet and friendly. He is an active boy, ~ 8 yrs. old, and is best in a home without young children. He needs an active but calmer home. He is best in a home that will give him plenty of exercise. George lived in a foster home with a Pit Bull Terrier, a Setter, and a Rat Terrier and did well with them. If you have an active but quiet home with older children, please apply to adopt this loving, people and dog-friendly, housebroken boy, at rescueridge.com and if your application is a possible match a volunteer will get back to you shortly. If you do not hear from us, your application might not match this dog's needs but may match another one of our dogs. Please see our website and let us know. Story
Meet this goofy girl Gordy! She is about 6 to 8 months old and is about 25 to 45 lbs. She is a mix of what we believe is a border collie/bull terrier mix. She was dropped in the middle of a field and left there to starve to death. She was so scared of people and did not trust us at first. She was never wanting to bite, but was for sure scared of people. We got her more comfy with being around everyone, but will need a slow introduction. She is good with other dogs and kids, but with chase a cat when it runs, not to get it, but just to play. She is working on those manners. She is a great girl and deserves all the love she can get.

Story
Are you looking for a playful, energetic, gentle and loving companion? Look no further! Knox is a 1.5 year old mixed breed weighing in around 50 lbs. Knox loves to play and is always ready for a game of fetch or tug of war. He loves exploring the great outdoors with his humans by his side, followed by a cozy cuddle on the couch to relax at the end of the day. He's a shining star when it comes to leash manners making strolls through the neighborhood a pleasure. He's a quick learner and is incredibly adaptable and confident despite his hearing loss. He knows several hand signal commands including sit, stay, come, crate, shake a paw, down, etc. He came from a home where he was spending long hours in a crate with medication. He's now working towards crate training without meds and is building his comfort level and amount of time he's able to spend in the crate at a time. Knox would thrive in a home where he can have a fenced backyard to run and play, as well as someone who is home regularly to help him continue to work on crate training. He loves kids and would do well with older kids that would be less likely to startle him from behind. He likes playing with other dogs, though may be best in a home where he is able to get your undivided love and attention. In return he promises to be a devoted and affectionate companion who will bring endless joy to your life. Knox is currently being fostered in Jackson, NJ. His adoption fee is $425.
