Story
Bart and Lisa are a bonded pair of cuties who came in as strays with no trace of a family looking for them.  So far they are just awesome!  They totally love each other, both have calm energy and are a little shy but soak up any affection.  They are a package deal and 2 is better than 1 anyway! All Perth Amboy Animal Shelter residents will be fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.  You must be 23 or older to adopt from the shelter, complete an Adoption Application and pay the associated adoption fee.  The application must be approved by the shelter staff and all adoptions are finalized based on the best interests of our animals.  Come visit us Monday - Friday between 10am and 4pm and Saturday/Sunday from 10am - 3pm.  Contact us at (732) 324-3877 and don't forget to ask about our Foster Program!November 3, 2024, 2:50 pm

This week guy was left locked in a cage for a couple of months. Since he's been in rescue, he is very affectionate and playful. Loves dogs, and kids but not a cat guy. We think he's about three years old and he weighs 40 pounds. Would love to have someone to run and play tug with. He would love a fun active family. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please visit funnyfarmpets.org, or you can read all about our Tennessee based rescue and find the link to submit the adoption application He is ready to go!

Story
Are you looking for a playful, energetic, gentle and loving companion? Look no further! Knox is a 1.5 year old mixed breed weighing in around 50 lbs. Knox loves to play and is always ready for a game of fetch or tug of war. He loves exploring the great outdoors with his humans by his side, followed by a cozy cuddle on the couch to relax at the end of the day. He's a shining star when it comes to leash manners making strolls through the neighborhood a pleasure. He's a quick learner and is incredibly adaptable and confident despite his hearing loss. He knows several hand signal commands including sit, stay, come, crate, shake a paw, down, etc. He came from a home where he was spending long hours in a crate with medication. He's now working towards crate training without meds and is building his comfort level and amount of time he's able to spend in the crate at a time. Knox would thrive in a home where he can have a fenced backyard to run and play, as well as someone who is home regularly to help him continue to work on crate training. He loves kids and would do well with older kids that would be less likely to startle him from behind. He likes playing with other dogs, though may be best in a home where he is able to get your undivided love and attention. In return he promises to be a devoted and affectionate companion who will bring endless joy to your life. Knox is currently being fostered in Jackson, NJ. His adoption fee is $425. To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
**Located in Korea** Finishing heartworm treatment. Rescued from the local shelter in South Korea the same day he was scheduled to be euthanized. He is estimated to be up to 2 years old and looks like a Border Collie and Jindomix. He is not very interested in playing with other dogs and is more interested in exploring and going for walks. He doesn't have separation anxiety, but when he's with people, he's always hovering over them or asking to be petted. However, it's better to give him time to adjust to the new dog, with a reasonable distance, rather than showing affection. He has a demanding bark and doesn't like to be chased by other dogs, is not picky about food and barks at strangers. Recommended to be adopted by a family with no children and a regular routine lifestyle.ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States. ##2152589##

Story
Our beloved Pepper was purchased at Shake-a-Paw. She is 4 years old. All members of our household love pepper. Pepper has never been crate-trained. She is not destructive when left home alone. She is extremely intelligent. She knows various commands, sit, stay, wait, no, come, etc. She loves lots of attention. She is very protective and loyal and tends to be territorial. We desire to have her adopted by someone who does not have children - since we never evaluated her with children. She enjoys the outdoors and would require a backyard. She has a lot of energy. She is a herding dog and tends to nip when triggered by strange people entering her environment. She requires time to get used to new people. However, if she is in an environment other than her home she is shy and nervous but doesn't nip or bark aggressively. All we want is for Pepper to be happy. We are putting her up for adoption due to my elderly father coming to live with us and he is highly allergic to animals.
