Story
ABOUT ZIGGY ZAG Meet the king of sass, Ziggy Zag! This goofy guy is a 2-year-old mix breed with lots of personality. Ziggy came to HAP because he wasn't fond of sharing toys with the other dog in their home. Despite this, Ziggy loves to play with people and has been such a gentle giant! He quickly became a staff favorite for his endless sound effects and ability to hold a conversation. Ziggy loves to tell you his feelings, what can we say, he's an emotional boy. He's also a very smart guy who already knows basic commands, appears house trained, walks well on a leash, and is crate trained! His favorite activities include sunbathing, lounging on a cozy bed, and sprawling out on your legs. Needless to say, this guy appreciates a good nap! Ziggy would do best in a home environment as the only pet, though he is friendly to other pups out on walks! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 December 18, 2024, 11:31 am

Story
Meet Hurricane! Are you looking for a fun-loving, active canine companion that can 'weather' anything life throws your way? Then Mr. Hurricane is perfect for you! This young, energetic pup has a zest for life and is always up for anything! Whether it's long walks exploring, playing fetch or tug of war, or some cuddles, Hurricane is ready to go! Since his arrival, he's been working on his manners like how to walk on a leash, keeping all four paws on the ground (even though he really likes to give hugs and kisses), and how to sit! Hurricane is extremely smart and food motivated so he does really well with training and could be a dog that could learn a wide variety of tricks and commands or even agility or scent work. Due to his big personality and endless amounts of energy, Hurricane would do best with an active family who's ready to meet his physical and mental needs to ensure he stays happy and healthy! So if you're ready to brave the storm, come on in and meet the best Hurricane there ever was! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Story
Triche is an adorable little gal with soft, luxurious black and white fur and a sweet face. She's a free spirit who has a grand old time hanging outside in the yard and socializing. She's intelligent, sensitive, and a classic introvert who appreciates her rest and recharge time. Because of her sensitive nature, she likes to take it slow when first meeting new people before giving away her heart (how relatable is that?!). Tiche would thrive in an environment where she can adjust to her forever family at her own pace... and then, her true shining, energetic personality can break free! Story
I am very sad to have to post this but Mitzi girl deserves to have the love attention she deserves. My schedule for work has changed and she's crated more than she should be. Mitzi is your typical Australian Shepherd and has very high energy. She just turned a year old on July 2nd of this year and is spayed and up to date on her shots. I would love for her to go to a home that will give her the love and attention that she needs. She loves everyone she meets and gets along well with other dogs. She gets along with cats too but sometimes she doesn't realize that she's bigger than them and plays a little rough. She knows a few commands, sit, paw, other paw and will go directly into her crate when told. She also is housebroken. She loves playing fetch. If you feel that Mitzi is a great fit please message me. I will check vet references. I would prefer her to go to a home that has a fenced in yard. Adoption fee possibly negotiable.
