Sprout & her brother Wishbone were both owner surrendered. They are both a tad shy but loveable and friendly once warmed up. They get along with other dogs and people. We do not know how they feel about cats. Sprout is about 3 months old and 14 pounds. Please help Sprout find the loving home she deserves. Update: Sprout went to the vet for some hair loss around his eye. Although the vet did not see anything under the microscope, he wanted to treat it as he was suspicious of demodex (not contagious) and gave Sprout a shot of ivermectin and recommended a 2nd shot in a month (early January) to complete the treatment. If Sprout is adopted prior to her 2nd shot, the adopter must bring him back to OUR vet (we would pay for it) for the final shot. Sprout is currently available for adoption. ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. Meet Charlie Barkley. He is a sweet, playful awesome dog who is very easy to love. He walks on a leash but needs additional training as he pulls. He knows some basic commands but does need a bit more training. Charlie is a 1 to 1 1/2 year old neutered male who weighs approximately 52 lbs. He was originally adopted by a family that decided they no longer wanted him so they dumped him in a south Nashville neighborhood. Charlie was found by a nice family that took him but cannot keep him because they have older cats. They would love to add him to their family but it just win't work out. He's been vet checked, is current on his vaccines and is in excellent health. Charlie is full of puppy energy and ready to play ball with the children. He needs a younger active and energetic family who can give him the exercise and play that he needs. A fecned in yard is a MUST for Charlie. When not playing, by the way ball is his favorite game, he loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. Charlie is patiently waiting for his forever family to find him. FOREVER HOME NEEDED!! Kubo came to us in 2020, and was adopted relatively quickly! Unfortunately, his owners could not handle Kubo and it led to them needing to return him. He was terrified upon being back at the kennel, a completely different dog than what had came to us originally. We found Kubo a wonderful foster home where he has been for 2 years! He never receives ANY interest We are now desperate. Kubo's foster is returning to work and will not have enough time to care for him. This poor boy needs his FOREVER home ASAP!!! Kubo is a very smart 5 year old cuddle bug. He LOVES to cuddle on his person and be around them. He has been undergoing training and has come such a long way. Kubo is good with other dogs but can be very vocal when seeing them outside which is part of what his training has consisted of.
