Story
Meet Freya! She is super sweet and only 4-years-old (going on 5 on May 9th). She does better if she has someone with her most of the time as she does have some separation issues. Once she settles in, she does get a lot better. She gets along great with other dogs, cats, and young and older children. My niece (she’s 7) loves to cuddle and put bows in Freya’s hair. Freya loves it and just lets her get away with it all without any complaint. She’s never growled or bit anyone. She is one of the most loving dogs you’ll ever meet. She is great on the leash and is house broken. She is more than happy to lay around all day and be close to her family. She is very relaxed with small bursts of energy before a walk or when playing games (we race at the dog park! I wish I had pictures of her goofy face). I’ll provide her leash, collar, food bowl, treats, and comb. She does have a heavy undercoat and needs to be brushed regularly. PS: she loves to steal carrot scraps. See picture above.

Story
LADIES MAN! Rover is a woman's best friend. He came to us as an energetic young man and quickly became the glue that holds the family together. Whether raising puppies, keeping grandma company, or comforting us in our time of need, Rover is an empathetic soul. In fact, that is how he has come to spend some time with our rescue--he stepped in and filled multiple different roles and therefore wasn't offered for adoption immediately due to his usefulness. But now, it is HIS turn to find a furever family instead of playing the role of counselor at the halfway house. He brightens our lives with his games of tug and softens our nights with his snuggles and puppy dog eyes. Rover is a top notch dog that LOVES to use his brain and would like a home where they will give him the opportunities to do it! Agility, food puzzles, etc are his jam. Rover is crate trained, house trained, and has fabulous food AND toy motivation. He would love a home where he can be the star of the show. Text/call/email to meet me today! The Dog House Rescue (775) 450-0687 doghouserescuenv@gmail.com About us: We rescue loving companions from under funded, high kill shelters where they are being euthanized due to overcrowding. Our residents come up to date on shots, neutered, and obedience trained to ensure they succeed in forever homes. Our families receive extensive post adoption support as we consider every resident extended family for life. www.thedoghouserescue.com 501(c)3 #93-4153575
