Story
Hey all, this is Archer. He is a 3 year old purebread Border Collie, great with our kids and other dog. We also have a Cat, and while Archer has never been aggressive of any kind, he has a strong herding instinct and will follow the cat around the house. We're looking to find him a new home for a few reasons, primarily we want our cat to be able to relax in the house more and not be followed so much, but we also want Archer to have a more active lifestyle. Ideally we could find him a home that has some wide outdoor space so he could run and play, and if he was given a job to do he would love it. We want to find Archer a great home with a more active lifestyle for him, so if you have any questions please let us know.

Lola is 6 years old. We have had her since she was a puppy. She loves playing fetch, she is very quiet and can be shy. Unfortunately, we have to rehome her as I cannot give her the attention she needs. She comes with her bestfriend Hugo, who is 8 years old and have been together since she was a puppy.

Story
Gail is a smart and eager to please beagle mix who is blossoming into a truly wonderful dog. Gail was severely under socialized during her first months of life and had no understanding of how to exist with people. While in rescue she has learned all about how to be a part of a home, and now her foster mom is helping her to learn how to exist stress free outside of the house so that she can enjoy going on adventures with her future forever family. She is potty trained (with the rare exception of excited peeing), kennel trained and walks well on a leash when hiking on local trails.  Her ideal forever family will be an adult only home that has at least one other dog that likes to play. She is open to kids in her family’s future but would like to get to know her parents first. She is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard. Gail is not great at first introductions so we would like to find an adopter who is open to meeting her a couple of times before diving into forever with Gail. We promise she is worth the time investment.  Gail is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.  Gail is a year old and 35lbs.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $200 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.December 14, 2024, 4:02 pm

Story
Please contact Rose (japchinrose@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Bravo came from an overcrowded shelter in Oklahoma. He is around 35 lbs and 5 months old. The shelter had him listed as a border collie mix, but we also see pointer and maybe whippet. He is doing great in his foster home with housebreaking and sleeping all night in his crate. Bravo likes playing with the other dogs and cats in his foster home. He is learning to sit and other basic commands. He is willing to learn and very happy to also entertain himself with a chew toy.  His foster mom says her favorite thing about him is that he is a cuddler! He loves to run and play, but then also snuggles on the couch when watching TV.  He can be a little nervous meeting new people, but he gets over it pretty quickly. We haven't tested him with kids yet, but we think he would be a good companion for an older child (he is a puppy, so still wants to jump up).  To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc), a $350 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, a home visit, a reference check, an obedience training agreement, and the signing of the adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are family members who live indoors. Story
Say hello to Rank! He is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! Rank is full of enthusiasm for life and is currently channeling all that energy into learning good manners and he's making great progress. This sweet boy absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine buddy to romp around with. He’s still working on potty training and learning the ropes of polite behavior, but he’s eager to please, smart, and picking things up quickly with consistent guidance. Rank is the kind of pup who’ll keep you laughing, moving, and feeling loved. With a bit of structure and a lot of playtime, he’s going to grow into an amazing companion. If you're ready for a little whirlwind of fun and affection, Rank might just be your perfect match. The adoption fee is 350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.** Part of Rank's adoption fee has been sponsored by someone who loves him! His adoption fee is now $250. We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.   ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission. ##2381821##

We’ll share everything we’ve learned and support you through the transition. Adoptions for Pepper are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that she can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainers. The suggested adoption donation for Pepper is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based  training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.  Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster.  This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their  pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is  unavailable for adoption.  Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster  to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The  adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive  family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal  reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We  always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are  not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file  for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at  MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue  Inc.  ##2514098##

Story
Meet Rico, he is 8 years old and 35lbs.   His owner has cancer and can longer care for him so he is looking for a new place to love him through the next chapter of his life.  Rico is a handsome Aussie/Terrier mix of sorts! If he was a food order he would be ordered as one medium floof nugget, with a side of smiles- tail waggin sized, with all the dippin sauces of happiness. This guy has grins that just won‘t quit, loves him some car rides, enjoys being bribed with treats for tricks, isn’t much of a kisser, and relishes all the attention he deserves to receive. Rico is easy to love, gets along great with dogs and and kids. He walks good on leash and is housebroken and crate trained. He is a true gentleman and is ready for that special person(s) to give him his well-deserved furever home. He is waiting to meet you! Neutered, heartworm tested, recent dental, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for adoption!  He is hit and miss with cats so a calm cat that does not do much he would have less of an issue with.  An active cat that will hiss and get in his business is not a match.  To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $100 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Story
Meet Tairn! This little boy is so much fun!! He’s 7 months old and weighs 35 pounds. A Kelpie mix, maybe with some Husky. He’s looking for an active family that will help him achieve his bucket list that is full of adventures. He was slotted to be a service dog but sadly his owner is too advanced in her illness to carry on the dream, so we took him in for her. He's smart and eager to have a job. He loves everyone and every dog he's met. He has lived with a cat too and did great. He loves kids but is still a mouthy pup working on his manners, so maybe 7 and older would be ideal for now. He would not thrive in a couch potato type house. A fenced yard is a must. He's 95% housebroken now and gladly goes into his crate. He’s great in the car and on a leash. If you're adventurous and looking for a loyal sidekick, Tarin is your dream come true!  He’s fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and ready for his happy ever after. His adoption donation is $415. Please apply directly in the dropdown menu on our website at https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! December 5, 2025, 12:55 pm
