Story
Shiloh is 3 years old and a typical border collie. He is affectionate and adores his people. Gets along well with most dogs. Unsure on cats. Does not do well with chickens. He has completed a training course and is off leash trained. He can be shy but warms up and is a Velcro dog! He just wants to be with his people. No young children as they make him very nervous.

Story
Rex is a 5 and half year-old Border Collie x Husky mix. A handsome goofball. He has his special yoga position when taking a nap on the floor. Or he may hide his head under the bed to let you know he is bored. Really protective and will love you unconditionally. Very chill at home. He is fully house trained and sleeps through the night. He quietly stays by your side if you work from home, or are just watching TV. He will look at you with his puppy eyes when you are eating but respect the boundaries and never jump or touch your food. He is not crate trained but he stays in his dog bed without any issues when he is alone at home or asked to. Does not chew furniture at all. He would do really well with a home with larger space, preferably with a back yard, no other pets or children. Even better if you like outdoor activities and he would be your best companion in motion.

Story
Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. I promise it's not personal, and you'll see I'm worth the wait! Willy is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He's located at The Pet Connection Sanctuary in Beloit, KS, but transportation to the right home may be available. To learn more about Willy please contact The Pet Connection by call or text- 913-671-PETS (7387).

Story
Meet Pebbles, our sweet red border collie looking for her forever home! Pebbles came to us as a scared girl who wanted to do nothing but hide, having faced unimaginable challenges in her early life. Though she may initially seem reserved, she is slowly blossoming into a loving companion. With gentle encouragement and patience, Pebbles is starting to show her playful side, enjoying quiet walks and the warmth of human affection. She weighs in at 45 pounds and is a little over a year and a half old. Pebbles is fully potty trained and does great on a leash. She loves being around the other dogs and tries to make friends. Each day is a step towards building her confidence, and her journey of transformation is just beginning. She deserves a patient and understanding family who can help her continue on this journey of confidence and love. History | Pebbles comes from a border collie hoarding situation in Colorado. National Mill Dog Rescue (NMDR) was contacted by a family member because they had “some” dogs that needed rescued. When NMDR arrived they found 92 border collies all under the age of three. They were fed-ish by one person, mostly left to survive on their own, and had been doing so for years. They developed a pack mentality which, unfortunately, led to arguments ending in a loss of life for at least one dog. They would kill any and all small animals within the area. NMDR was able to safely evacuate 40 with hopes of going back to get the rest. All dogs were shut down and scared, but have begun to show friendliness after decompressing and time to learn to trust humans. Pebbles had one 4-week old puppy when NMDR showed up to the scene. This puppy was on the brink of death being eaten alive by fleas and ticks. NMDR was able to grab the puppy before the pack got to it. The puppy is now healthy and has been adopted by a member of NMDR. Check out her bio on our website with the link below!
