Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Jinx is a 9 year old border collie looking for a home where he can stay busy and challanged. He is smart, intense and has a high drive He needs a home with experience and interest in training. He is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle as much as play! He is very loyal and wants to please his people. He is housebroken and crate trained. This boy loves to play fetch and can spend hours pushing balls around the yard! Jinx has lived with many dogs and has done well with most, but can be selective. He may do best as an only dog. He is not good with cats. Jinx is neutered, vaccinated, heart worm negative, and microchipped. Jinx is not an easy dog, but he will be an amazing friend to the right family! Jinx is a courtesy post, please do not contact MUSHR but instead email his foster owner at megwagner@hotmail.com and include some information about your family. Jinx is fostered outside of the metro area, you must be willing to travel to meet him.

Story
Hi, my name is Maggie. I am from Florida. From her foster: Maggie has been with us for several months and she has shown herself to be a friendly, goofy, motivated girl. She has never met a stranger, doggo or human. She is gorgeous and we believe her to be a Border Collie- Shepard mix. She has been around our 3 kids, 9, 4 and 20 months and does very well with them. She’s potty trained, crate trained, does as well as a young dog does on a leash and LOVES being outside and playing most of the day. From the vet team: When Maggie came into rescue, she was found to have a mild heart murmur. After an echocardiogram with the cardiologist I was found to have a defect called VSD or a Ventricular septal defect or "whole in the heart". Maggie's defect is very small and not causing any issues for her. No regular follow ups with any veterinary cardiology specialist or medications are recommended at this time. Regular annual visits and consultation with a primary care vet would be necessary to monitor this going forward. A small hole, but a whole lot of love to give her future family! She has had a history of drinking too much water out of anxiety or boredom, so monitoring and limiting water intake when needed may be something an adopter will need to continue to work on.

Hi! My name is Zani and I am from Missouri. From her foster: Zani arrived from Arkansas on 3/9/25. She was in a foster home there after being found as an unclaimed stray. She is about 7 months old and weighs 35#. Likely a cattle dog mix. She is the sweetest dog ever and is quite smart. Loves all people and dogs that she has been introduced to and has a great time playing with our resident dog in our yard. Loves to cuddle and snuggle with a general "aim to please". She is working on leash walking and potty training. She still pulls when on a leash and is overall doing well with potty training. She would be a great addition to any household! She does well in a crate where she sleeps at night for us. A fenced yard is not imperative but would be useful for Zani as she needs to go out at frequent intervals throughout the day to encourage good potty behavior. She also would do well with another dog in the family as she very much enjoys dog play.

Story
Hi! My name is Ella and I am from Kansas. From her foster: Ella is fun and easy to have around, greeting everyone she meets with a happy smile - dogs, people, and kids. Ella is 100% house-trained and does not need to be crated - she has never touched anything that does not belong to her. She loves to be petted, brushed and snuggled, although she is more of a snuggle-beside-you versus a snuggle-in-your-lap girl. She is a calm, gentle and soft ball of fluff. Ella loves her walks and strolls nicely with a harness beside the resident dog. She's never going to be a big hiker, but she trots happily for a mile or so at a time, sniffing the fun smells when allowed to stop:) She is not a fan of the hardwood floors, and was happy when we put down throw rugs for her to traverse the path to the water bowl and the door. She is getting used to them, and we removed a couple of the rugs. Outdoor stairs are not an issue at all; she has not had a chance to try any indoors. She eats her dinner very quickly and now receives food in a slo-bowl to slow her down a bit:) She does a delightfully happy dance when it's time to eat before settling into a nice sit to wait for the bowl to be placed. At night, she alternates between sleeping on a dog bed in the master bedroom and sleeping on the sofa in the family room; we leave it up to her. Ella is a quiet girl and rarely barks. She is woefully patient for her medicated baths, which she receives about every two weeks (a couple of treats help!). Ella's favorite things to do are eat her meals:), go for walks and meet dogs, follow her people around, and snuggle with her people whenever possible. She is a total sweetheart and simply wants to love you and be loved in return! From the Vet: During my first few days in rescue, my foster and the vet team had me evaluated for an ear infection and some allergies presenting in persistent itching. I have the currently being managed with an allergy injection that is typically given once per month and regular medicated baths. I am also managing some mild arthritis and stiff legs with a glucosamine supplement. My future family should be prepared to continue this management for me with a primary care vet.

Story
Welcome Bear to CCPAL foster program. Bear is a young male that is 7 months old. He is 50% Border Collie mix and maybe Terrier or Lab. These puppies all love the water and would love a home that allows them to play in the water. He is the biggest of the 3 boys and a stronger but very sweet personality. He is the most outgoing of his litter. He has the long beautiful coat of the Border Collie. He is outgoing and social and is slightly less attentive than his two brothers. He should be 50 pounds full grown. He currently is about 27 pounds. He walks wonderfully on a leash and will be a wonderful family companion. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is knows sit and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. They are all boys. He has the striking looks of a Border Collie. We would love someone that knows and loves the breed to apply for Bear or any in this litter. He is outgoing enough to be the only dog or would be fine with another dog as well. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 600. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Hi there, I’m Jess! 🐶✨I’m a lovable, 40-pound pup looking for my forever home! Right now, I’m hanging out with my awesome foster family, which includes two doggy friends and a teenager. They say I’m the perfect size—big enough for adventure, but small enough to snuggle right into your heart. 💕I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t worry—I warm up quickly! Once I know you’re a friend, I’ll be your cuddle buddy for life. I’m fully potty trained (yay!) and use my crate like a champ when my humans are out.I’ve got plenty of energy for fun! I love my daily walks, playing in the yard, and chewing on my favorite toys—especially balls, water buffalo horns, and anything I can nibble on. Oh, and treats? I take them oh-so-gently from your hand. 🦴🐾I’m also a great travel companion! Just pop me in the back seat, and I’ll settle down in no time. I’m generally a quiet girl—I won’t bark your ears off, but I’ll definitely let you know if someone’s at the door. 🚪🐕Could I be the perfect pup for you? If so, fill out an adoption application, and let’s meet soon! I can’t wait to find my forever family. ❤️🏡--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi, my name is Jojo, will you be my best friend? I certainly want to be yours and will make sure you feel loved and paid attention to all the time. I am the perfect size (a little under 30 pounds) for cuddles but I also love running around outside and going on walks. I walk well on a leash but prefer to walk when there aren’t many other dogs around. I have to be the only pet in the house as I want all your attention and I am most comfortable with adults. I would be happiest in a quieter household with a regular routine. Besides being your bestie I love bones and food puzzles. I do my best to listen to commands like sit and lay down and am ready to learn more. I truly aim to please always. I am fully potty trained and crate trained. I am used to sleeping in my crate and eating in there too. I have been through a lot so I can be nervous at times but your affection and care will be all I need to become your life long companion.--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedure completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned.
