Story
Mitzi is an energetic and charming dog with a big personality who's ready to find her forever home. She’s both kennel and house-trained and has mastered the art of communication—she'll even ring a bell to let you know when she needs to go outside! Mitzi is incredibly friendly with other dogs and has no problem sharing her space, food, or treats. However, she does have a strong prey drive and can clear a 4-foot fence if she spots something worth chasing. While Mitzi can be fearful in new environments and may need some encouragement to go on walks, she feels more comfortable when she has another dog by her side. She would do best in a home with a confident resident dog who can help her feel more secure and relaxed. This affectionate girl craves human attention and loves to play. She's made great progress with learning proper play manners and is getting much better at being gentle. Mitzi is eager to please and with just a bit of guidance, she'll continue to thrive. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and joyful companion who will fill your life with energy and fun, Mitzi could be your perfect match! Hi! My name is Gemma and I am from Alabama. From her foster: Gemma is such a Gem! She is very sweet and loves her people. She is good with kids, cats, and dogs. She will chase an occasional squirrel but is doing much better on a leash. She is almost fully potty trained when consistently let out or walked. She is a typical puppy and likes to chew everything! She likes to play and also plays throw-the-ball with herself:) She can be skittish with people in dark clothing, especially at night. Likes to have company all the time but does fine in her crate at night.

Hi, my name is Mason. I am from Arkansas. My name given to me by the shelter was Mason, but I love responding to Max! My fosters parents tell me that I am the sweetest boy who loves napping, walking, and sniffing my surroundings! I am house trained but have some anxiety coming into a new home and may need reminders to go outside the first couple days. I am good around big groups, other animals, I haven't been tested around children but my foster parents think I would be good around them too! I am a sweet and kind 8 year old and am looking for a loving forever home!

Hi! My name is Simone and I am from Arkansas. I have only been with my foster mom two days and still a little shy, but I am starting to settle in and come out of my shell! The other dog here is pretty great, we have so much fun playing and running in the backyard! But my favorite thing to do on a rainy afternoon is cuddle up on the couch with my human! I am still working on potty training, but I am pretty smart gal and catch on quick! Since I am still new to the house, I have been staying in my crate when my foster mom is at work and at bedtime. I am a pretty lovable gal and ready to find my furever home! I am about 8 months old and 41 lbs. I am a happy, froendly and playful gal with moderte energy. I love to play with people and with other dogs, and I'm really smart! I like water, and have a great time playing in the kiddy pool! I have learned to walk nicely on a leash, and I take treats gently. I have all sorts of adventures on my to do list! I can't wait to start on them with. my foster home and then keep on adventuring with my forever home! Story
Hi! My name is Suni and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Meet Suni! Named after Minnesota's own Suni Lee, she'll bring you as much joy as Suni did during the summer Olympics this year! Our Suni is your typical curious pup who likes to play with toys, our resident dog and you! Her tail is always wagging and she's very sweet. She walks great on the leash and takes treats gently. She is learning basic obedience commands right now and is very focused and willing to learn once the treats come out! She is nervous of new people and dogs on walks so she prefers to just ignore them and not say hi. In the house, she can be shy at first meeting new dogs and peoples but warms up quickly to the humans once they squat to her level and she can get some sniffs! Our mellow dog friends she is good with right away, but will need a slower intro to the boisterous puppies or playful dogs so she can get more comfortable first! Once she's comfortable with you she has no problem giving you all the affection and trying to be a lap dog. She sleeps in her crate at night and is crated while I work out of the house. If she can't see our resident dog and feels truly alone, she will whine for a few minutes and then settle into her routine! She does bark on occasion at people in the yard or outside the window, it's not constant, but something to be mindful of depending on how sensitive you or your neighbors are to noise! Overall Suni is such a wonderful sweet girl who would do well in any forever home

Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule. Come and meet me at our adoption event at Trove Brewing, Burnsville on 8/3 at 2:00 - 4:00 pm!   Age: Approximate DOB 9/9/2022 Weight: 35 pounds Dog friendly: YES! She needs one in her forever home Cat friendly: Yes with dog savvy cats Kid friendly: Older kids only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes when she can see other dogs **Needs another confident dog and physically fenced yard**  Addie is the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet! She is nervous about new people at first, but will warm up after she realizes she's home and safe. She is such a little love bug who wants to cuddle and get pets. She happily lounges on the couch in the evening, getting snuggles. She needs another dog in the home to teach her how to be confident. She absolutely LOVES her doggo foster brother and playing with him, so another dog that wants to play is a must, as she needs that kind of relationship to blossom. She would cuddle up with her cat foster sister all of the time, so as long as the cat can handle her bursts of energy, she's a doll with them! Because of her fears, she needs a securely fenced yard to live her happiest life, and you'll see a different side of her when she's outside playing! She is potty trained and does well in a kennel for a full workday when you're gone. She's the easiest little girl because of her sweet demeanor and smartness. She keeps herself busy with toys during the day, so she'd be a great companion for anyone who works from home but is not required!  Once she's comfortable with you, we think she would be really great at agility or other training, too, so feel free to put her border collie abilities to the test! She gets really scared by sudden, loud noises and fast movements, so Addie would do best in a home without little kids. Other than that, she just wants all the love she can get from her people, dogs, and cats!  Adoption Fee: $495Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? Story
Welcome Bear to CCPAL foster program. Bear is a young male that is 5 months old. He is 50% Border Collie and the other is Terrier. These puppies all love the water and would love a home that allows them to play in the water. He is the biggest of the 3 boys and a stronger personality. He is the most dominant of the 3 boys. He is outgoing and social and is slightly less attentive than his two brothers. He should be 50 pounds full grown. He currently is about 27 pounds. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is knows sit and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. They are all boys. He has the striking looks of a Border Collie. We would love someone that knows and loves the breed to apply for Bear or any in this litter. We think Bear has less of the Border Collie personality and more of the dad’s personality who was a Terrier. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 200 and transport is 600. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Dally is a very loving boy. He LOVES attention and loves to love. He is a happy energetic boy that is happy to be a dog!  He has been adjusting very well being in a home. He was left, tied up with no food, water or shelter. He is a tad bit shy at first but warms up quickly. He is super smart and listens well, epecially to authority. With his breed as a cattle dog/pitty mix, a strong leader is best. He does pretty well in a kennel. He cries when you leave, but settles down. He does best in an XL plastic crate. He is potty trained. He will probably have a few accidents in the first week. He takes about 3 days to adjust to new situations. He also needs to know that you are coming back for him, so once on a schedule, he can start to rely on his people coming back. Dally requires a tie out when outside. Unless you have a 6ft privacy fence. He's very agile and will jump a 4ft fence if he feels the need. He does well on a tie out though! He will also do best with an active family or person, but can settle down and nap, on or as close as possible. He loves cuddles. He is always up for adventure. He pulls a bit on a leash, but will get better with practice. He does get a little anxious in a car, but it is definately manageable. He is good with other dogs. Not sure about cats. He does have a high prey drive though. He would do very well with obediance training and any other training you would be willing to do. He picks up fast on things. Dally is a super fun dog. He likes to play with toys and chew on bones. Dally is a good boy who deserves the best! If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please submit an Adoption Request Form. Story
Dede, affectionately known by her foster family as "Deeters," is a lovable 50 pound, 1.5 year old pup who's ready to find her forever home! While she technically had a home before, she was left outside, ignored and has certainly had her share of challenges. At some point, Dede had a litter of puppies, and she had to fight through a case of mange, but after treatment, her fur is growing back beautifully, and she's glowing with health and happiness.  Deeters is a happy-go-lucky dog who thrives on love and affection. She’s the type of dog who just wants to make her humans happy, and she does it effortlessly with her sweet, playful demeanor. She gets along with other dogs, so if you already have furry family members, she might be a great fit. She's also fantastic with children, making her a great choice for a family environment. However, we haven't had the chance to see how she reacts to cats, so her cat compatibility is still a mystery. Dede is a bit of a free spirit, and while she loves to zoom around the fenced-in yard, she's not obsessed with going for walks. She enjoys a stroll, but she’s just as content running around on her own terms. She’s very polite when it comes to taking treats, even around other dogs, and she walks nicely on a leash. That said, when it comes to mealtime, Deeters prefers to eat in peace, so she’d appreciate having her own space to enjoy her food. Dede is potty trained and is making good progress on crate training. However, she would love to just sprawl out somewhere warm and mind her own business. Dede's past hasn’t dampened her spirit; she’s still an incredibly sweet and gentle dog who wants nothing more than to be loved and to love in return. If you're looking for a loyal, joyful companion with a heart of gold, Dede just might be the perfect addition to your family!
