Story
Leyland Leyland is a Male Border Collie mix DOB: June 6th, 2024 Adoption fee: $200.00 I am not as confident as my brother, but I still love attention. I am not quite as busy as Gibby, but I still have great puppy energy. I am playful, curious, and smart. My brother and I have similar colors, but we do have different coat styles and facial features. I should do well with another dog in the home. I should adjust to a dog friendly cat. I would do my best with a physically fenced yard. I am not fit for apartment life. Children should be at least 8 years or older in my new home. Herding breeds herd which include people or children and can be too much for the typical family who does not have breed experience. I am a very nice puppy, and I will make a great companion for the right person, couple, or family. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! HSSCM.org you can find the applications under the "adoptions" tab.

Story
Meet Darcy and Molly: A Pair of Lifelong Friends in Need of a Loving Home Darcy, a stunning 10-year-old Great Pyrenees, and her sister Molly, a sweet Border Collie mix, have spent their entire lives together. Their world changed when their beloved owner had to enter a nursing home, leaving these two devoted companions in search of a new family. Our rescue specializes in helping terminally ill individuals find new homes for their pets, and we were honored to welcome both Darcy and Molly into our care. These two are inseparable, and we're committed to finding them a home where they can stay together, providing each other comfort and companionship through this transition. About Darcy: Darcy is a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Despite her size, she is incredibly friendly and approachable, making fast friends with everyone she meets—people of all ages, including children. Darcy is housebroken, well-mannered, and even behaved wonderfully during her veterinary visits. At her age, she knows what she likes and prefers the calm company of her sister Molly over the hustle and bustle of other dogs. About Molly: Molly may be smaller, but she looks up to Darcy for guidance and reassurance. The bond between these two is unbreakable, and Molly draws strength from Darcy’s calm demeanor. Together, they make the perfect pair, balancing each other out and providing mutual comfort. Molly's love language is licking, so you can expect to be licked on the arm, in the face, and wherever she can reach to show you how much she loves you! She makes friends fast. Although she is 10 years old, true to her border collie nature, she loves to play toys and run around the fenced yard. What They Need: We’re looking for a family that understands the special grooming needs of a Great Pyrenees and is committed to daily brushing to keep Darcy looking and feeling her best. Both girls enjoy daily walks and would thrive in a home that can offer them the love, attention, and care they deserve. They are small dog friendly, housebroken, and healthy. Health and Wellness: Darcy and Molly have received comprehensive senior wellness care, including bloodwork, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, lepto, bordetella, and flu), and both are spayed and microchipped. They are healthy, happy, and ready to bring joy to a new family. Both girls had a professional grooming session. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this incredible duo, please reach out to us. Darcy and Molly have so much love to give and are eager to start the next chapter of their lives together—with you. Story
NOTE: MAGGIE is located in Ypsilanti, Mi. Maggie is an AKC SMOOTH COAT (short hair) Border Collie. She is a sweetheart. She is cautious when meeting new people, but once she meets you a couple times she will come up to you to be petted. She has these what I call soulful eyes. She has some training, but I failed her on doing more. Maggie absolutely adores the water, going for walks and rides. She is good with children. She is NOT good around chickens. As for cats, she really hasn't had any interaction with one, but I said no to be on the safe side. Your yard should be fenced in for her safety. She LOVES to run with other dogs. I have retired and am planning to do a lot of traveling, which isn't fair to Maggie. She is not a big "kisser" but loves to snuggle and be petted. I will want to do a home visit to mainly meet family and your backyard. Maggie you sometimes called Maggie Rose and she also responds to mags. She also knows what I mean when I say be a good doggy. She knows when I say were you a bad doggy. She is an absolute sweetheart. I will miss her greatly but I want to do right by her. You should be willing to send me a picture once or twice a year give me an update on how she's doing.

https://spayneuterassistanceprogramofmichigan.org/adoption-info/ Call/Text (574)514-6832 Email snapofmichigan@gmail.com Gracie is still with us, searching for her forever home! Gracie is over a year old, mixed with many breeds, making her the best of all worlds! If you want a dog who will be as obsessed with you as you are of them she's your lady! She wants all the attention and all the love. She does love her foster doggy sister even when the feeling isn't always mutual. She is a little too excited for her foster kitty brother and foster doggy brother. She does still socialize with her doggy brother even if he doesn't necessarily want me to. She does take a few mins to warm up to new people and I'm not exaggerating for only a few mins. She makes new friends in less than 10 mins with some treats and attention. She would benefit from some training and an active home or at least a fenced yard with room to run. She loves going outside even when it's too cold to be out there. Gracie is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Adoption Fee: $250.00 Register to Adopt today: www.spayneuterassistanceprogramofmichigan.org/adoption-info Questions or Inquiries? A happy energetic dog. Loves to play and enjoys long walks. Very smart. Not food motivated. Love’s playing with other dogs. We’re unable to provide the life that Dex deserves. My roommate and I are moving soon and can’t bring him along. I just hope someone needs a furbaby and has lots of time to spend with him, reaches out. He deserves the world!

Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
