We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). Story
Pappy is, what we call in rescue, a “very good boy!” He is young; estimated to be between 1-2 years old. He weighs 45-50 pounds and we believe he is a red Border Collie/ Great Pyrenees mix. This is an educated guess, based on his coloring and double back do claws, so Great Pyrenees mix is very likely. Pappy is has interacted favorably with many other dogs in rescue. He is friendly with dogs and super friendly with people! He has a gentle nature and is affectionate. He will be a fun and easy addition to any active family or individual wanting to add a 4-legged companion who will be an eager partner in crime and a constant source of unconditional love. He is pretty good on a leash and crate trained.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Story
Ally is a 7 year old Border Collie mix. She is 57 lbs. I got her from a shelter when she was 14 months old. She is good with other dogs, but has not been around cats. She also does well with my 6 year old granddaughter. I have a dog bed, toys, bowls, and a cage. I rarely use the cage and I do not keep her caged while I'm at work all day. I want to find a good home for Ally. I recently got married and my new husband is very allergic to her. We are living in separate homes until I can find her a new home.

Story
Bruno is almost 3 years old and weighs only 45lbs. He is a poodle border collie mix. He is available for adoption with his brother Bruno. He is looking for a new furever home. As of recently, he has gone through a lot with his brother, Rio. His owner was forced to surrender the both of them to the shelter due to having to move out of the country with his family. They were not able to bring their most prized possessions with them. His owner had only one request, to keep them together and not have them separated. They are the best of friends and need each other's backs to thrive in life, so they are a bonded pair. They do absolutely everything together. Bruno is dog friendly and kid friendly with all ages. He has lived with a baby before! He is the more playful one of the pair. His favorite hobby is to play fetch. He loves tennis balls and can play fetch all day. He would love a yard to play his favorite game in, but would love a home even better. Bruno is currently living in a foster home with Rio. They will not be able to do walk in appointments and will need to have an appointment scheduled for a meet n greet.Thank you for showing an interest in our pets. We can never guarantee the breeds of the animals. We do not DNA test. Please feel free to call us with any questions.

Freckles is a female Australian Shepherd mix. She has some fear reactivity issues with unfamiliar people and dogs that she has been working on. She would need a slow introduction if meeting a new dog. Freckles does get along with the other dogs at her foster home. The best fit home for her would be a calm adult only home. Story
Hey there, I'm Roxy! My life took a magical turn when a wizard, in a rush, left his wand behind. Being the curious herding breed I am, I picked it up and *poof* I ended up here! I've been told I'm independent, energetic, and friendly. I've got plenty energy to burn and love to play. However, I must admit, I have a bit of a wandering spirit. If I see an open door, I might just take myself on an adventure. But don't worry, with a little training and lots of love, I'll stay put. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my zest for life and endless love. So, if you're looking for a loyal friend who's full of life, I'm your girl! Please fill out an application online here: www.macsshelter.org/dog-application/.
