Story
Echo is a stunning 4-year-old Border Collie & Norwegian Elkhound mix with a heart full of love and energy to share. We’ve had him since he was a puppy, and he has been an incredible companion. He thrives in the great outdoors—hiking, swimming, and exploring are his absolute favorite activities! Echo is looking for a very specific type of home where he can truly thrive. He needs: ✅ A quiet, structured environment without other dogs, cats, or children. ✅ A home with plenty of land to run and explore. ✅ Someone with experience handling herding breeds who understands their instincts and need for both mental and physical stimulation. ✅ A patient, responsible owner who can continue his training and provide him with clear structure.

Story
Rize is a one of a kind shelter girl that was plucked from a tiny shelter in East Tennessee and taken home by an accomplished trainer who has molded, polished and taught her amazing things for the past 5 months.   This girl Rize is determined to be a Border Collie mix who is about 8 months old and 36 pounds.  What a gift she has had living under the loving and competent eye of this woman who has trained even the shyest of dogs to be confident and live a more normal life in this crazy world that can be scary to so many dogs.  Rize is very sweet and loving and good with all the dogs that she has met.  Fully vetted, this girl is looking for an active family or person that will give her a fenced yard and will continue to use the commands and reinforced training that have been started by foster mom, Diane.  She would be fine with children that are 7 years and above and of course you have to know that Border Collies are an active herding breed that love to have fun jobs to do.  She is not a crazy energy like some can be.  We are not looking for a family that needs to crate her for long hours during the day while they work.  The work from home situations are great for a girl like Rize.  We can provide 100 videos if needed and certainly a good and insightful conversation with the foster mom once we receive an application.  Please write to us for an application at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Tell us where you live, City and stateWe transport from Tennessee to the northeastern states.  We also in the southeast and especially Tennessee residents.  This girl has had thousands of dollars worth of training and you get it for just an adoption fee that covers her vetting and spay.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 6, 2025, 5:05 pm

Story
We are calling them "Border Bullies"! Mama is a Border Collie, dad is a Pit Bull! I cannot imagine how smart these pups will be! They were born on October 13th. The owner of Nelly (mom) and Bruce (dad) unfortunately wound up in jail and obviously couldn't take care of this little family so they were surrendered to us on the day they were born. Both mom and dad have beautiful temperaments so I am quite sure these pups will be amazing! They will be available for adoption by January 11, 2025. They are all spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. How can you resist!! PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $550

Story
Say Hello to George: The Mellow, Fluffy Sweetheart! At 4 months and 30lbs, George is the ultimate cuddle buddy with a smart and lovable personality. While he’s more both active and mellow and chill, he still enjoys a good time romping and having active playtime and especially loves the great outdoors—cool, crisp weather is his favorite! Georgie Boy would do best with kids 12 and older and playing with dogs that are over 35 pounds.  We anticipate that Georgie will be a 60-65 pound boy himself as an adult. This social boy is smart and is a talker.  He gets along great with other animals and made fast friends with a senior dog and a cat in his foster home. He would benefit from a strong leader. If you’re looking for a sweet Border Collie mix companion who loves both playtime and snuggles, George is your guy! Ready to bring George home?Critter Cavalry Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Middle Tennessee but delivers to the Northeast weekly. Learn more about adoption fees, drop-off points, and our mission at crittercavalry.com or email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to make George a part of your family! Story
This handsome scruffy black and white darling boy is called Ross and we have determined that he is a Border Collie/Border Terrier mix that is estimated to be 5 months old and weighs 14 pounds and destined to be around 35 pounds as an adult.  This boy and his sister, Rachel, were abandoned in a small rural area of Tennessee at a cabin that was a parttime retreat for a family that lived 200 miles away.  Fortunately ,the cabin’s doorbell camera  caught these puppies being abandoned and alerted the property owner that these poor puppies were in trouble with no food or water anywhere around.  To make matters worse, impending frigid weather was on its way to their area.  The doors opened and rescue forces got to work quickly to go and pick up the puppies and carry them to a Critter Cavalry Rescue foster home.   This puppy and his sister are both smart and anxious to please.  Ross wants to be someone's special Valentine. He is crate trained and learning what it's like to be in a warm and loving home.  It's hard to imagine that only 2 weeks ago some cold-hearted person dumped him and his sister Rachel to possibly die from lack of care or food.  God was with them in finding immediate help and they have been worth every effort.  So sweet and loving and innocent.  Beautiful pups with wiry faces and sleek Terrier bodies that bring a smile when you meet them.  Ross is being neutered on Feb. 4th and will be ready for a forever home on Valentine’s Day.  We estimate that he will grow to be a 40 pound handsome boy that will bring so much fun, love and adventure to the person or persons who adopt him.  If you are wanting a wonderful rescue puppy to raise and love then please consider Ross.   Critter Cavalry Rescue transports from Nashville, Tn to the northeast and of course local Tennessee adoptions are welcome, too.  Please email asking for an application to ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 16, 2025, 8:33 pm
