Story
Meet Charlie Barkley.  He is a sweet, playful awesome dog who is very easy to love.  He walks on a leash but needs additional training as he pulls.  He knows some basic commands but does need a bit more training.  Charlie is a 1 to 1 1/2 year old neutered male who weighs approximately 52 lbs.  He was originally adopted by a family that decided they no longer wanted him so they dumped him in a south Nashville neighborhood.  Charlie was found by a nice family that took him but cannot keep him because they have older cats.  They would love to add him to their family but it just win't work out.  He's been vet checked,  is current on his vaccines and is in excellent health.  Charlie is full of puppy energy and ready to play ball with the children.  He needs a younger active and energetic family who can  give him the exercise and play that he needs.  A fecned in yard is a MUST for Charlie.  When not playing, by the way ball is his favorite game, he loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. Charlie is patiently waiting for his forever family to find him.  He would be a great family dog and love to have a home for the holidays.  To be considered for his forever fmaily and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Charlie is in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  November 19, 2024, 4:27 pm

Story
Meet our rare and beautiful Jolene, a stunning 3-year-old, 35-pound Red Merle Border Collie with a heart full of joy and a personality that will melt the heart as well! Jolene is playful, friendly, and always eager to greet her favorite people with a low, charming howl. She’s a social butterfly who loves children, adores cuddles, and thrives in the company of other dogs and even cats. This intelligent girl enjoys playing ball and is incredibly responsive to commands. She knows how to sit, stay, come, and heel, and she excels on a leash with the guidance of a strong leader—walking right at your side when told to 'heel.' True to her Border Collie nature, Jolene is a quick learner who seems to understand what you’re thinking before you even say it! While Jolene was house-trained as a puppy, she’s spent most of her recent time outdoors on a farm. She would thrive in a home with a fenced yard but is not suited for a home with chickens or livestock she is tempted to chase.  Her vibrant energy, loyal disposition, and affectionate nature make her the perfect companion for an active family who is ready to give her all the love and attention she deserves.  N We would like to know if a responding and adoptive family has any hurting breed experience in owning a dog. They are uniquely intelligent and training sensitive dogs.  Ready to bring Jolene home? Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application. Let’s find this amazing girl her forever family! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 18, 2024, 7:24 pm

Story
Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.A year old male beagle border collie mixBarney is a sweet boy with the most beautiful bright, brilliant eyes and playful personality. He has been in foster care since he was a few weeks old and unfortunately, he was left kennel by himself until now. I brought him to my house to socialize him and he’s in a pen with two other pups. He does great with people and dogs. He does not bark at night, which is a very pleasant surprise. He has a bright and bubbly personality. Barney is about 30 lbs. Barney will make a wonderful house pup. He is house trained and has no issues at all. Barney is currently in foster care with Ozark Homeward Bound animal rescue in Harrison Arkansas. Do not let distance be a deterrent. There is a Facebook page where you can see videos of him to get to know him. The adoption fee does cover the transport to get him to locations where he is listed or near those locations.  For the farthest north east Enfield, Connecticut is the closest stop on the rescue network transport.https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1EmkNRsgWr/?mibextid=K35XfPNovember 20, 2024, 10:05 pm

Annie is a 10 month old Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix. 35lbsAnnie is very intelligent, very sweet, and I feel is a “do it all” dog. She has only been with me a She has only been with me a couple of days, and I do not force myself on the dogs that I foster. I allow them the time to be comfortable with me and come to me so that it is a permanent change with their disposition and it will be a smooth transition to a new family. I post videos daily of all the dogs that I foster so people can see them and see their progress and get to know them.Annie is located with Ozark Homeward Bound animal rescue in Harrison Arkansas. I’m very impressed with him being an “old soul”, for being so young. He is a sweetheart to the fullest. He has a really soft, smooth, shiny coat. It’s a little longer than it looks. Definitely soft and definitely shiny. There is a Facebook page where potential doctors can see the dogs that I foster in My Home. I will put a link at the end of this section.
