She loves the outdoors, going on walks and playing catch and tug of war! She gets along with our shitzu just fine, but has issues sometimes with other dogs. The main reason for us needing to re-home is she has become aggressive towards our cat.

Story
Charlie came to us at 6 months old from an animal control shelter. He had a rough time as a puppy and needed lots of love and care. We have now had him for two years and he has rounded out to be a sweet and obedient dog. He loves cuddles, tug of war, and any opportunity to get treats. He is well trained in basic commands and walking. Charlie would thrive in a home with a medium to large yard where he can sprint and play. . He would also be most comfortable in a home with adults or older children and as the only pet or with one other medium sized dog. He is generally very friendly but is anxious and needs reassurance and low stress environments. He is friendly with other dogs but is sensitive about food. He also has been friendly with kids (we have a 10 month old) but likes his personal space and not to be poked and prodded by them. He is very cuddly with adults but struggles with infants and toddlers that do not know enough to respect a dog’s boundaries.

Story
DOVE is a one year old, female border collie/hound mix. She has a cute, little nubbins of a tail that just is the frosting on cake for this precious dog. She is currently in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training because at her age, there is nothing better for a young adult than manners and composure. She is super smart and has picked up on her schooling quickly although her favorite part of the day is snuggling with people. She's great with the other dogs in the program and her favorite toy is her kong. Her perfect family should be an active one with a fenced yard so she can get the proper amount of exercise. We think she'll be fine with children. If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our online application. Additional adoption FAQs can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants. Thank you!

Story
Meet Charlie Frost! This unique looking boy is believed to be a collie/aussie/ Pyrenees mix. He and his brother came us when a local rescuer drove to get them before they were brought to a shelter. Through her connections with her vet, she was able to get him to Adopt Me! He has a very sweet disposition and will make a great addition to any home. Charlie Frost need a home that will help socialize him with the outside world and take him places to meet people and other dogs! We expect them to be a medium size at full maturity. If you're interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of OUR online application at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months. We review and schedule meets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received. Keep in mind he is a young puppy with a life expectancy of up to 15 years. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for family and for dog, including a home that can stay committed to him for life.

Story
Stella is looking for a forever family to call her own. If you are wanting the sweetest, prettiest, funniest, family dog ever, then this dog is for you. She will sit at your feet while you are busy or play fetch all day. She will bring you the ball and try to toss it to you. She is careful and watchful with little children. She loves to go riding in the truck (inside the cab). We have taken her camping. She does pull on her leash, especially when she sees a squirrel, lol. She is house broken, but does not like the crate, we just put her in the bathroom or outside when we need to. A fenced yard is a must, and she is a bit of an Houdini. And she does not bark all the time. The little bit she does bark sounds like cute yips. Unfortunately she does not get along with our farm animals. She gets along with our dogs, our adult cats (she might be over playful/curious with the kittens), and although she is a little too brave around them, she gets along with the horses.
