Story
Bernie's special needs---He does have a daily and as needed dressing to his head, it does require cleansing and applying a non-adherent pad with Medi honey and hemorrhoid cream on it, then secured with rolled gauze and tape. He also currently has stitches the entire border of his ear that need hemorrhoid cream applied 2-3 times a day for itching. He also currently gets pain medication at night and Trazodone in the am and at night to keep him from removing his dressings and going after his ear. He is in a cone, but soon the stitches will come out of his ear and if he does not remove his head dressing, he can go without the cone, BUT lol I am not holding my breath on that. HE IS EXCELLENT for his dressing changes and wound care!!

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Eloise, an endearing female Border Collie mix with a heart full of love. Born around September 2, 2023, this sweet girl currently weighs 17.2 pounds and is ready to find her forever home. Eloise's journey began in a challenging way when she was found abandoned in a field at just 6 weeks old by a compassionate feral cat feeder. Luckily, she was brought to a rescue where she quickly captured the hearts of everyone she met. Her gentle nature and affectionate personality made her a favorite among volunteers and staff alike. Previously, Eloise was adopted into a loving home, but unfortunately, her presence didn't quite mesh well with their older cat. With a heavy heart, her family made the difficult decision to return her to the rescue, knowing that she deserved a harmonious environment where she could thrive. Eloise is described as very sweet, albeit a bit shy initially. Once she feels comfortable, her warmth and charm shine through, making her a delightful companion. She's already mastered potty training and now effortlessly uses a doggy door. Could your home be the perfect match for Eloise's gentle spirit? If you're ready to open your heart and home to this loving pup, you can apply for Eloise at www.adoggie4you.org. Her adoption fee is $300, which includes all her vaccinations, spaying, and a microchip. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make Eloise a cherished member of your family—she's eagerly waiting to meet you This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 10, 2024, 4:09 pm
