Sadly, she was surrendered to an already full shelter to no fault of her own by the only family she's ever known.  If you'd like more information on her, please visit care.rescuegroups.org. If interested in adoption complete the application and the foster will reach out to you. CARE's adoption fee is $250 for dogs/puppies. All CARE animals arrive in their forever homes current on all age appropriate vaccinations & preventatives, as well as microchipped & altered. DOVE is a one year old, female border collie/hound mix. She has a cute, little nubbins of a tail that just is the frosting on cake for this precious dog. She is currently in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training because at her age, there is nothing better for a young adult than manners and composure. She is super smart and has picked up on her schooling quickly although her favorite part of the day is snuggling with people. She's great with the other dogs in the program and her favorite toy is her kong. Her perfect family should be an active one with a fenced yard so she can get the proper amount of exercise. We think she'll be fine with children. If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our online application. Additional adoption FAQs can be found here also. She loves the outdoors, going on walks and playing catch and tug of war! She gets along with our shitzu just fine, but has issues sometimes with other dogs. The main reason for us needing to re-home is she has become aggressive towards our cat.
