Story
Meet Joey, a sweet pup with an incredible story of resilience. Joey and his four siblings arrived at WCAC scared, unsocialized, and in need of a lot of love. To them, people were terrifying, but thanks to the kindness and dedication of the community, Joey has made amazing progress. He’s now a gentle, good-tempered pup who gets along great with dogs, cats, and kids. Joey is ready to begin his next chapter with optimism and a wagging tail! We believe he may be a collie mix. Please note that the listed adoption fee does not include the cost of neutering or bringing him up to date on vaccinations. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Animal Control at 618-327-9471 or reach out through our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064739284772. Joey is ready for a loving home—could it be yours?

Story
Scooter is a farm dog and very Border Collie behavior. He does not fit our family due to having an autistic child in the home. He is very energetic and excitable but very friendly. He deserves a home with someone that can spend the time with him and include him in daily life. He is trainable, knows sit, shake, stay, and is treat motivated. He is goofy, silly, and very lovable. Once he's comfortable with his owner he is a good boy, it will take someone who can be the dominant person.

Story
Meet Sadie 🐾 Sadie is a beautiful 2-year-old Collie mix with a fun, active spirit and a sweet heart. Sadie really enjoys going for walks and getting outdoors, and would love a family that camps or is looking for a walking and hiking buddy. She is fully housetrained and leash trained, and enjoys car rides. Once it’s time to relax, you’ll find her happily chewing on her bones and squeaking her favorite toys. Sadie is a real cuddle bug and will happily snuggle on the couch with you! Sadie can be shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable she becomes a happy and loyal companion who enjoys being close. She seems to prefer adults and older children, since sudden movements and noises have been known to startle her. Sadie currently lives with multiple dogs in her foster home, but would also be content being an only dog. Sadie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives. Her foster home is located in St. Louis County. Her adoption fee is $325. You can apply for Sadie here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ITMD/Dog, and her foster family will be in touch with you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snickers is a resident in the Campbell County (TN) Animal Center, and the staff at the Center are seeking a foster or permanent home for him, as he is stressed in the shelter environment.   If you are interested in Snickers, please contact the Animal Center through their website or at the phone number given below.  Here is what they say about Snickers, a young BC/Aussie mix: Do you need a little Snickers in your life?? A yummy nougat encased in creamy chocolate to “make you feel you” as the famous advertisement states. This wonderful boy is a Aussie border collie mix. He is approximately 3 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Snickers has the kindest eyes that will melt your heart. To be honest he is struggling in the shelter. Although he is safe, knows he has delicious meals served daily and daily walks he would benefit greatly being in a foster or permanent home. Snickers is a fluffy black and white male, with white front legs and black back legs. He is very smart and is craving to be mentally and physically challenged. His breed mix desires to be trained, given commands and lots of mental stimulus. The shelter is a very loud and is over capacity so he is fearful of his current situation. Each day he improves and when he goes outside for his walks he does a cute little trot of a dance to celebrate. Snickers tail is the short stub that wiggles when he is outside smelling everything Mother Nature has to offer. So what does Snickers need?? A loving patient family that will allow him to relax and trust humans. He would enjoy a bubble bath and a nice brushing to make his black and white coat shine. Snickers is food motivated so his training will be fun and engaging for his new partner. So come in and meet this precious soul and let your heart melt with his sugary sweetness.   The Campbell County Animal Shelter adoption center is open Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 - 5:30 PM at 749 Towe String Road, Jacksboro, TN 37757   Phone: 423-566-8018   Adoption applications can also be completed online at fccanimals.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 5, 2025, 8:56 pm
