Story
Graham is an adorable Border Collie mix, born around October 6th, who’s ready to find his forever home! He’ll likely be a medium-sized dog when full-grown and has a personality as loving and joyful as they come. He is mostly blind but read on because that is only part of his story.  Though Graham is visually impaired, you’d never know it from the way he plays and explores! He doesn’t let his eyesight slow him down one bit—he’s a happy, curious pup who loves life and approaches every day with excitement and a wagging tail. Here’s what makes Graham so special: Sweet & Loving: Graham’s gentle nature makes him a perfect snuggle buddy. Resilient & Playful: He enjoys playing, exploring safely, and finding fun in everything he does. Family-Friendly: He’d thrive in a loving home with a secure fenced yard where he can safely roam and play. Kids 10 and older would be the best fit for this special boy. Graham is ready to bring love, joy, and plenty of puppy kisses to a family that sees just how amazing he is. If you’re looking for a resilient, happy pup who will light up your life, Graham is your guy! Give Graham the loving forever home he deserves, and you’ll gain a loyal best friend for life The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2024, 9:16 am

Story
Meet Chestnut – The Handsome Pup with a Heart of Gold! Hi, I’m Chestnut—a playful, loving brown and white pup looking for my forever home! I may have had a tough start in life, but I’m all about the future—one filled with love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags. I absolutely love to play! Whether it’s with plush toys, bully sticks, or just running around outside, I find pure puppy joy in everything I do. I also get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and even the resident bunny in my foster home. And people? Oh, I adore everyone I meet! My foster mom says I’m a champion snuggler and give the best puppy kisses. I’m also pretty smart—I’ve already mastered “sit” and am working on “down,” plus I’m making great progress with potty training. Right now, I’m living in a foster home in St. Charles with adult humans, resident pets, and plenty of love to go around. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate pup to fill your days with joy, I’m your guy! Let’s make this next chapter the best one yet—together  If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Story
Who has the time and patience for a puppy? Then say YES to Bugatti! This beautiful six month old Border Collie and Flat-coated Retriever mix is very smart for his age and will need someone who's home during the day to continue with training and guide him to becoming the best he can be. Bugatti was found alone when only 4 weeks old and stayed in foster care until old enough to be brought here from Texas. He is doing very well with housebreaking, knows sit, come, working on stay, crate trained, and learning to walk on a leash. Matter of fact; even at this young age he has gone on walks of several miles and absolutely loves it! He also loves meeting new dogs and people but can be cautious at first but gets comfortable very quickly and then wants to play. A fenced yard will be required. Bugatti has been neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines. If interested in completing an application, please send a quick message to yurko.mar0903@gmail.com
