Story
Denali was transferred in from an open admission facility at maximum capacity. He has beautiful coloring and really interesting eyes. The color and shape of them make it look as though he is looking at several things at once. Lol. Denali is a border collie mix but has the longer face, more like a rough collie than a border collie. He is good with other dogs and people. That goes to show you that you don`t always have to be the sharpest crayon in the box to bring color to someone`s life. Due to his apparently short attention span, Denali is going to need a very patient adopter! If you have a lot of time and patience, Denali will absolutely be worth it! Email reception@hsscg.org for an appointment or just come on in. We are open 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. - Heartworm negative?

Story
Finn is a fun boy with so much love to give and needs his perfect home to give it to. He is used to being around a lot of different sized dogs, he loves people, and can be cat tested upon request. He enjoys playing with his sister and anyone he is housed with. We were able to save him and his sister from being euthanized at Cordele Animal Services and we would love for him to find his forever family. He is still learning his manners so a home with older kids would be best so he doesn’t accidentally knock smaller children over; puppies have poor spatial awareness. He is already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go. Finn can be cat tested upon request. SGER FAQs:We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.Your information in our application is not shared and is protocol for adoption. We run solely on donations and house 100 plus dogs and 10 plus horses at any given time. Story
Meet Roo, a sweet and gentle 4-year-old girl who has known nothing but hardship in her life. Rescued from a horrific puppy mill where she was chained outside with 30 other dogs, Roo is now looking for a loving forever home where she can finally learn what it means to be cherished. A little about Roo: Quiet and Fearful: Understandably, Roo is still very timid and unsure of the world. She doesn't bark or bite, but she will need a patient and understanding family who can help her build confidence. Crate Trained: Roo is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night. She will need to be taken outside on a leash to potty, but with consistent routine and positive reinforcement, she will thrive. Sweet and Gentle: Despite her difficult past, Roo has a loving heart. She enjoys gentle petting and will blossom with affection and reassurance. Ideal Home: Roo would do best in a quiet home with a family experienced with puppy mill dogs or fearful dogs in general. A home without young children would be ideal, as she needs a calm and predictable environment. Someone who is home often and can dedicate time to her socialization would be perfect. If you think you can open your heart and home to Roo, please fill out our application today. She deserves a chance at a happy life filled with love and kindness. Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Atlanta, GA Meet Hudson Fox! He is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix and weighs between 45-50 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Hudson Fox is nervous around strangers! He hasn’t been tested around kids. He is good with cats! No dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate trained. Hudson Fox has bitten 3 people. He bit the owner in May 2023 when they attempted to put a muzzle on him while at the vet clinic. He bit the owner’s friend on the hand in May 2024 when meeting him for the first time. Hudson Fox also bit the owner in October 2024 when they attempted to clean his paws after he had an accident in the house. The owner is surrendering him because of his severe anxiety. He also needs an environment with a fenced-in yard, so he can run. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Hudson Fox, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Hudson Fox.
