Story
Say hi to Lucas! This very handsome 6 year old, dude is looking for a home because his owner is no longer able to keep him. His owner is devastated over it so has asked us to help find a wonderful new mom and/or dad for him. Lucas currently weighs about 45 pounds, because he's not currently able to get the exercise he needs, so he plans to get back down to his ideal weight of 37 pounds soon. :) Lucas is a sweet boy. He loves going for walks and chasing lizards. He's a happy guy, who would love a home with a yard to play ball in. And when he's done playing, would love a comfy couch to hang out on and cuddle with his owner. If you would like to hear more about this really nice boy, please be sure to include your number when you inquire so we can call and tell you even more about Lucas.

Story
Owner surrendered to the shelter at 10 yrs old and overweight. Anna is a sweet Border Collie girl who is working hard at loosing weight. She has slimmed down to 66 lbs. A low energy girl who loves going for walks in the morning and can be found sitting at the door waiting to go. Anna is great walking on leash. We are up to a quarter mile now on our walks. She will watch other animals she sees but she does not chase. Anna ignores barking dogs and other dogs passing by her. She has picked up sticks and proudly carried them on our walks. Anna loves shaking and squeaky soft toys. Car rides are a big favorite with Anna. She stays quietly in the back watching out the window. Amazingly she can get into the car all by herself. Another favorite of Anna's is to lay outside for hours. Anna is in a foster home with 4 other dogs, both big and small. She is content laying on the floor, dog bed and can get herself up on the sofa. Anna is house trained. Anna would be happiest with a person who can spend a lot of time with her. Children over 12 who are respectful of her age will be ok. NO CATS.

Story
Adora is my very first foster dog. And she is a lovely girl. Her house manners are amazing! She knows basic commands: Sit, Wait, Watch, Down. Her recall is better each day. She's pretty good on leash, and improving every day. The great outdoors can be a bit over-stimulating, but after only a few days, even outdoors she will Watch, Sit, Down, and Come with increasing confidence. And she's such a good traveler. She's very agreeable, loves to be petted, follows me everywhere. She gives amazing eye contact indoors and getting better at that outdoors every day. She wants to greet everyone. She's good with large dogs, but over-exuberant with small dogs. Not good with cats, but I think even that will improve with time. Haven't had a chance to test her with children. The day after she came to me, I bathed her, combed out all the clumps of fur, trimmed her nails, clipped the fur between toes, and brushed her teeth. She was a trooper through it all! She does not guard food or toys. And she's very polite. She gets on very well with my 10 year old greyhound... they sleep next to each other. Adora is very food driven, has a very soft mouth so easy to train with tiny bits of Beggin Strips. She is Heartworm Negative, is on NexGardSpectra (hearetworm, flea, tick preventive). Rabies, 12/3/2024 DAPP, 11/14/2024 Neopar, 11/7/2024 Microchip #992000003475194 All in all, she's a terrific dog, healthy, happy, affectionate. She just needs a little time to adapt to the outside world. And oh my, she is very smart! And did I mention that she's beautiful! Please consider giving her a forever home...
