Story
Say hi to Lucas! This very handsome 6 year old, dude is looking for a home because his owner is no longer able to keep him. His owner is devastated over it so has asked us to help find a wonderful new mom and/or dad for him. Lucas currently weighs about 45 pounds, because he's not currently able to get the exercise he needs, so he plans to get back down to his ideal weight of 37 pounds soon. :) Lucas is a sweet boy. He loves going for walks and chasing lizards. He's a happy guy, who would love a home with a yard to play ball in. And when he's done playing, would love a comfy couch to hang out on and cuddle with his owner. If you would like to hear more about this really nice boy, please be sure to include your number when you inquire so we can call and tell you even more about Lucas.

Story
In Parish, FL Amigo is 6 years old and a very good boy. The only issue is that he can be very shy and nervous when strangers approach him or come toward his direction. He is excellent in the house. I have left him several times for about 4 hours max so far and he just sleeps on the bed. He is house broken. Walks well on leash. Very chill in the house. Very good in the car. I think he would do best in a house that is active. He loves walking. I think another dog would be good for him. Older kids would be fine. No cats as he does have high prey drive. His person needs to take it slow with him and give plenty of praise as he loves to be told how good he is❤️❤️❤️❤️. Fenced in yard where he can run is best. He isi neutered, current on immunizations and on preventatives. If Amigo sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

Story
Owner surrendered to the shelter at 10 yrs old and overweight at 75 lbs. Anna is a sweet Border Collie girl who is working hard at loosing weight. She loves going for walks in the morning and can be found sitting at the door waiting to go. Anna is great walking on leash. We are up to a quarter mile now on our walks. She will watch other animals she sees but she does not chase. Anna ignores barking dogs and other dogs passing by her. She has picked up sticks and proudly carried them on our walks. Anna loves shaking and squeaky soft toys. Car rides are a big favorite with Anna. She stays quietly in the back watching out the window. Amazingly she can get into the car all by herself. Another favorite of Anna's is to lay outside for hours. Anna is in a foster home with 4 other dogs, both big and small. She is content laying on the floor, dog bed and can get herself up on the sofa. Anna is house trained. Anna would be happiest with a person who can spend a lot of time with her. Children over 12 who are respectful of her age will be ok.

Story
Forest is a half Border Collie / Black Lab mix, and he is the smartest dog I've ever known. I got him through a customer one day; I fix A/C's, and he was scheduled for the pound when I said I'd take him in. His backstory is that he was owned by an elderly woman since he was a puppy. She couldn't take him with her when she requested nursing home care, so she dropped Forest off on her daughter, who was my client. The reason she couldn't keep him was due to her other two elderly dogs; forest simply had too much energy for their little old hearts. That doesn't mean Forest is bad with dogs. I've never heard him growl or be unfriendly towards my mother's dog. No resource aggression. No biting. He will chase feral/outdoor cats, but has never acted ill towards my housecat. The reason I can't keep him is unfortunately the same as the elderly woman... I'm moving to a place that won't allow him to stay. We're still looking for his forever home.
