Story
🐾 Nyx and Her 7 Precious Pups – Rescued from Georgia 🐾 Sweet Nyx and her seven adorable puppies were rescued from a shelter in Mobile, Alabama, where their future was uncertain. Most county shelters simply don’t have the space, staff, or resources to care for a mom and her newborns, so when this little family needed help, Big Dog Ranch Rescue didn’t hesitate to step in. Now safe in our care, Nyx and her babies are getting everything they need — medical attention, good nutrition, and most importantly, love. Nyx can finally rest easy knowing her pups are warm, fed, and cared for. Each day they’re growing stronger, learning, and showing more of their sweet, playful personalities. Before long, Nyx and her pups will be ready to find their forever homes — families who will love them as much as we do. ❤️ Can you make a place in your heart for a rescue pup? Every adoption helps save another life in need.

Story
Meet Whistler! This handsome young fellow is a Great Pyrenees mix with stunning long legs and a thick, soft white coat. Whistler is the definition of sweet and eager—he's incredibly affectionate and loves to shower his people with love. He always has a blast playing with his doggy pals! And he adores long walks and yummy treats. Whistler is also a smart cookie; he knows his basic commands has been practicing his recall and is housetrained! Since he’s still young and active, he'd be the perfect addition to an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and enrichment. Whistler first came to Big Dog Ranch as a small puppy with his sister found abandoned, he then had a brief adoption, but now he's back and ready for a true forever home. Because he gets very attached to his owners, Whistler will thrive in a structured home environment that can provide clear boundaries and guide him through proper introductions. Give this sweet boy the structure and love he craves, and you’ll gain a devoted, lifelong companion!

Story
Meet Kiki AKA Milo: Kiko, also known as Milo, is a 4-year-old Border Collie mix with a big heart and a confident spirit. He was originally rescued from Puerto Rico in 2021 and, through no fault of his own, found his way back into our care in 2024 after an incident involving another dog and circumstances that made it impossible for his adopter to keep him. Kiko is not a bad dog. He is smart, confident, and communicative, and he does well with other dogs when given clear structure and proper introductions. He can be corrective in his interactions, which simply means he understands boundaries and benefits from guidance and consistency. With people, Kiko is sweet, affectionate, and engaging. He would thrive best in a home with adults only or with older children who understand and respect his boundaries. A home with someone who has moderate dog experience would be ideal, as Kiko responds well to confident, thoughtful leadership. Kiko is looking for a family that appreciates his intelligence and self-assured nature and is willing to offer him stability, enrichment, and understanding. In return, he’ll be a loyal, devoted companion ready for a fresh start and a forever home.

Story
Hi there! I'm Naybi, a 2-year-old Border Collie mix, and I've been through a lot, but I'm not giving up! 💪💙 I was surrendered by my old owner after being hurt by stray dogs 🐕, and for a while, I was really scared and unsure of the world around me. But guess what? I'm healing! 🩹✨ I've started trusting again, especially with humans who show me love and kindness 🐾. It’s not always easy, but I'm getting braver each day. I’ve made a few friends along the way and am learning to trust again, bit by bit 💕. I may still need some time to feel totally safe, but I promise you—I'm a loyal, loving companion in the making! 🐶💖 With the right person who will be patient and gentle with me, I know I’ll become the best friend you've been looking for. Could that be you? 🏡If you’re ready to help me continue my journey and fill my life with love and safety, let’s meet! I can’t wait to show you how much love I have to give! 🌟🐾

Luna loves to play! She is 10 years old but acts like a puppy. For house trained, doesn't bark or chew. We have to make the hard decision to rehome as she has become aggressive towards our other pets, and keeping them separated isn't giving them their best lives. Someone with no other pets would be perfect for her. She is great on walks, loves to play frisbee, and will do anything you say if you have a ball in your hand.

Story
Calling all Cattle Dog lovers!!! Gypsy was found wandering in Loxahatchee. A Good Samaritan stumbled upon her and reached out for help. One of our volunteers is an avid herding dog momma and just knew she had to step in to avoid this little gal going to ACC. We spoke with ACC and they said she was able to do Gypsy’s 10 days stray hold in the comfort of a home. A huge win since herding dogs do very poorly in a shelter environment. Gypsy is 44lbs, thought to be around 2 and true to her heeler breed. Her foster momma could rave and rave about her but she said she would like to summarize Gypsy as follows: “the dog that will without doubt turn into your heart dog eventually”. She’s sweet, special, silly and extremely devoted to her humans. If you are looking for a true best friend, look no further, we’ve got you covered. To match her amazing temperament; can we talk about this stunning coat 😍 talk about fierce looking. She’s even adorned with the infamous Bentley star on her head (if you know, you know). Gypsy was sadly heartworm positive is in treatment but she will be available for meet and greets and potential adoption as long as potential adopters can agree to commit to her heartworm treatment which financially will be 100% covered and our rescue team will guide you through. Get in line! We know there will be a lot of excitement over this gal and we are so looking forward to matching her with some forever humans.
