Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Suki was surrendered to PRBJ when her family realized that with their busy schedules and apartment living, they could not dedicate time for training or exercise.   A fenced backyard is needed for her to run around in. Suki, unfortunately, was never potty trained and uses potty pads. New owners will need be diligent in housebreaking.  Suki likes dogs and would pair best with another canine her size and energy level. She is a little nervous with new people or situations, but once she has time to evaluate, she warms up. Suki will need to learn leash manners because she was not given much training.   Suki would be best in a home with an active person or family who is home much of the day to work on training and take her on adventures.About Border Collies: &#239&#130&#183  Intelligence Border Collies are often considered the smartest breed. They are highly trainable and excel at herding, agility, and obedience. &#239&#130&#183  Loyal Border Collies are loyal and bond closely with humans. They love to cuddle and can be great couch companions. &#239&#130&#183  Family-friendly for ACTIVE households Border Collies are good with children and other pets. They love, and need, to be active and are spunky and playful.  They can be great teammates for games of Frisbee, hiking, and agility competitions. &#239&#130&#183  High Energy Level They are athletic dogs with TONS of energy. Plenty of exercise and mental stimulation is needed.  They can become mischievous (herding children, chewing or digging) or develop separation anxiety if they don't receive proper training or consistent mental stimulation. &#239&#130&#183  Barking They will often bark out of excitement, stress, anxiety, playfulness, or loneliness.  They would not be a good match for a home with shared walls, i.e., apartments or townhomes. Story
Sparky is a 7 year old mix of border collie and another breed. He has such a funny and amazing personality. Sparky recently in July started showing signs of severe separation anxiety, and he doesn’t do well being crated. Other than that and being dog selective, he is one smart good dog. Sparky loves the water hose, loves playing in the water. He loves to run and play fetch. He barks at you when you play fetch he’s asking you to throw it again. He also loves to cuddle up, and just relax. He isn’t high strung but does need to be able to run once a day. He is great with kids, no matter the size. He loves chewing on bones or bully sticks. He isn’t a fan of to many veggies, but loves broccoli and carrots occasionally.

Story
Longest resident!!! Daisy Mae has been waiting THREE YEARS for a home of her own.  Daisy Mae is a 7-year-old, 75 lb, Border Collie/Heeler mix looking for her forever family. She is UTD, spayed, microchipped and housebroken. Daisy Mae is medium energy and would love a family to relax with after going on walks and chasing balls. She is good with dogs her size or larger but not good with small dogs and not good with cats, and prefers no children. Daisy can be prone to UTI's so she takes a cranberry supplement to help prevent them. She has been known to guard items of high value and would benefit from an active and experienced family that has previous experience with resource guarding behaviors. Training will be provided at no cost to her new family to help ensure her success. She has experienced a lot of improvement with these issues and would thrive in an adult only home able to provide the structure she needs. Daisy Mae has to find her new forever home because she currently lives with a toddler and needs to be in a home without children under the age of 16 yrs old due to resource guarding behaviors. Daisy's ideal home would be an adult only home that is open to participating in training to make some minor resource guarding issues easier to manage. She is a well-trained, medium energy companion that would make an amazing pet. Please note, Daisy Mae is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability. Adoption fee REDUCED: $ 75 ##1177999##

Story
Stella is a 4 year old, active, driven pure bred Border Collie. She needs to be the only pet in the home but is not reactive to seeing or meeting other animals out and about, she just doesn't share well inside the home. She is housebroken and very well behaved at home. She is a petite size for a Border Collie and has a smooth/shorter coat. She is active and needs an active home. Breed experience would be a huge plus but not required if you're active and have had prior dog owning experience. Adoption fee $150. Vaccinated and spayed. ##2083314##
