He knows sit, down, get down, shake (both), recall, go to bed. He's very gritty and would excel in a home that has lots of time to commit to play with enrichment activities. Wyatt has a high prey drive and, when given an opportunity, would likely chase small farm animals (chickens, ducks). When told "no" he redirects his attention back to you and away from the chickens/ducks. He has a solid off switch when provided appropriate play time where he likes to be close to his person, quietly resting or enjoying a chew toy. He loves all toys but frisbees are his favorite. Pets like’s & dislikes: Wyatt takes time to warm up to unknown persons, initially barking. He prefers to set the pace for introductions. He is a recovering car chaser (we suspect) and while walking on a leash is encouraged to "leave it" and is improving on not being aroused by the vehicle passing while on leash. A fenced in yard is recommended given his history and need for exercise. Any additional info you think should be shared: it is suspected that Wyatt was hit by a car when he was first brought into ewenity, which required months of daily bandage changes. His skin is completely healed with some scarring and a slight outturn to his left rear foot. He does not appear lame and enjoys playing.

Sadie is new to our rescue. She has been in a shelter since February after being confiscated from a hoarding case. She is very sweet but also very shy. She does warm up quickly and will need time to feel comfortable and trust. She is a complete joy and very happy. She will do best in a home with another dog and is most comfortable with MK, another dog from the hoarding case we have taken with her. Piper is an active girl who knows basic commands, is house and crate trained and is working on manners. She does better with routine and boundaries. She is hesitant and guarded when first meeting people, however, once she calms down she quickly warms up to new people. She is very food motivated and will do anything for a treat - so that is definitely a tool for you to use! Piper needs socialization with people and dogs and requires an experienced handler. She and her foster brother play well and also lay around chilling. She has some resource guarding with food, which is very common with shelter dogs given their situation and usually very easily trained out. She will be a great dog for an active couple. Hiking, ball play, agility training, road trips and farmers market could all be in her future. Her water skills are unknown at this time. Fenced yard and dog savvy folk are needed, along with a desire to continue training this sweet girl and exposing her to the big world!! Piper is located in Naples. Flower formally known as Bullet. We gave her a re-brand since the name Bullet does her no favors, really she's just a sweet stinker. She is a very active heeler mix, makes a great walking or running companion. She would do best with a single person or couple without young children, sometimes she plays extremely rough, and doesn't seem to realize her strength. She still needs to learn manners and presence with other dogs. As of right now, she would do best being the only dog, and would thrive one on one. She has been dog reactive, but maybe with socialization, that could change. She's very smart and needs the opportunity to learn boundaries and manners. She is in need of someone whom is patient and willing to put the training into her, she would also make a great sport dog, he has some awesome jumping skills. She was in Okeechobee shelter, this girl is in need of a heeler savvy/ active dog home that can provide her with mental stimulation and activities to tone down all that energy, combine that with some basic training and she will be an awesome girl!! She is very loving, sweet gives kisses. She wants to play so bad, and have personal attention. She is a bit mouthy, barks at you for play time, she also likes to place her mouth on your arm, she just needs re-direction with a toy. PINTO made it to Florida!! We were asked to help him find a furever home. That should be NO issue as he is super cute!! Here is his info: Pinto is around 8 months old. Small Heeler mix and maybe some dachshund, he is a sniffer!, He is house broke, kennel trained, and likes other animals big or small. He just wants all the love, his family could no longer have him so he has been staying in a home in Texas who can no longer keep him. Other heeler rescues in Texas are full. He was said to be scared of Men, however he loves the guy who transported him and now is fostering him, He just needs someone with a little bit of patience, lots of love, some dog savvyness and give him a chance! He loves to have his chest scratched and rubbed and will fall asleep in your arms doing so. Sometimes this little dude will get the zoomies, and gives face licks with love nibbles, which are hard to not love. He just wants to play and love! He does good with horse and goats too! He is around 25 pounds and will not get any bigger. He needs to be neutered.
