Story
Meet Yuma! This beautiful 8-year-old girl weighs about 44 pounds and is a wonderful senior companion looking for her forever home. Yuma has spent time in a foster home where her personality really shined—she’s quirky, very chill, and enjoys living life at her own relaxed pace. She’s not a high-energy dog and much prefers calm, easy-going environments where she can simply exist comfortably and happily. Yuma is the type of dog who values her space and appreciates people who understand and respect her boundaries. She can be a little moody at times, but she’s also incredibly sweet and affectionate once she feels secure. She’ll happily soak up love and attention from her person, but she doesn’t need constant fussing over—just someone who truly gets her. Because of her personality, Yuma will need a home with no other animals—no dogs, no cats, no small pets—and absolutely no kids. She thrives in a quiet, adult-only household where her routine is predictable and stress-free. In the right home, Yuma will be the most loyal and easy companion, bringing warmth and joy every single day. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, affectionate, and wonderfully unique senior dog to share your life with, Yuma may be the perfect match.

Story
Hi there!! I’m Buddy and I’m a 1.5-year-old, 35lb Border Collie-Hound mix boy with energy for DAYS! I’m sure you are thinking he’s not a cocker spaniel or small breed. Nope, I’m not, but the nice ladies at FCCR offered to help me find a new home so here I am! I’m currently in Georgia; my owner rescued me from a local shelter but realized I need a more active home than they can provide. So here I am, looking for a family that can keep up with my zoomies! I’m very friendly towards everyone and GREAT with kids – even very young ones! I’m current on all my vaccines and house trained, which makes me pretty awesome already, right? I’m somewhat good on a leash but I do pull at times (I just get so excited about everything!), so I’d benefit from some training. I’ve haven’t met any cats so not sure if we could be friends…I might want to chase them. Here’s what you really need to know about me: I love to RUN, RUN, and RUN some more! I absolutely need a fenced-in yard where I can burn off all this puppy energy. Did I mention I’m still VERY puppy-like? Because I am! I love to CHEW, so puppy-proof your home and hide your favorite shoes! I would LOVE to take basic doggie training with my humans and here’s the good news – I’m very smart and eager to learn and please! With the right active family who has time to train me and tire me out, I’ll make an excellent family dog. Are you up for the adventure? FCCR will take applications and questions for me through their website: www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee: $250

Story
Oreo is a 5-year-old- 46LBS neutered male Australian Shepherd/Beagle mix with a heart as sweet as his name. This beautiful, clean, and intelligent boy has a loving personality and is searching for his forever person — someone he can stay close to and love endlessly. Oreo came to us from a difficult past, but during his two months in foster care, he’s made wonderful progress. He’s learning manners, boundaries, and how to simply enjoy being part of a caring home. He has especially bonded with his foster dad and loves following him everywhere — his happiest moments are just being by his person’s side. Oreo would thrive in a calm home with someone who is retired or works from home, as he truly needs to be with his people. While he gets along with other dogs, he doesn’t require a canine companion. His ideal home would be one without young children, where he can relax and feel secure. Oreo is ready to give his heart completely to someone who will offer him love, patience, and a safe forever home. He will be a loyal and devoted companion to the person lucky enough to call him theirs . If you're interested in making Oreo a part of your family, please get in touch with his rescuers! His adoption fee is $150 which cover his shots and heartworm prevention. He is healthy and has many more years of love to give. He was purchased as a puppy from a breeder. Our dogs are cared for in loving homes, not kennels, and we work closely with each one to understand their needs, personalities, and quirks. This way, when you adopt, you know everything possible about your new companion - no surprises, just a smoother transition into your family. The adoption fee reflects the time, care, and support we dedicate to every dog, ensuring they are healthy, happy, and ready for their forever home.
