We think she might be a Border Collie/Heeler mix, but that’s just our best guess—Lucy was found barely hanging on in the streets of Mexico after being hit by a car. Her leg couldn’t be saved, but Lucy absolutely can’t be stopped. The missing leg is the sad part of her story. The amazing part? Lucy doesn’t let it slow her down for even a second. She runs, plays, snuggles, and lives life with a joyful spirit that’s impossible not to fall in love with. Lucy is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves kisses, cuddles, and being close to her people. Like many smart herding-type pups, she enjoys having a little purpose and would thrive with training, activities, or adventures with her family. With the right guidance, she’ll fit beautifully into almost any loving home. She gets along with everyone she meets and is both crate trained and appears to be house trained. If you’re looking for a full-time trail buddy and loyal best friend, this might be your guy. My wife and I are currently fostering a fun-loving 5-month-old Border Collie/Husky mix. He was on his way to a shelter just a few days ago, and we couldn’t let that happen. We brought him home to give him a chance at finding an amazing family. We both travel weekly for work, so coordinating schedules can be a bit of a juggling act, but we’ve made the next few weeks work to give him stability and time to find the right fit. In just a couple of days, here’s what we’ve learned about him: About 50/50 on potty training (and improving!) Sleeps quietly through the night in his kennel without a peep Walks well on a leash Rarely barks Friendly with people and other dogs Chews only on his toys (and occasionally on me during playtime) Already knows a couple of basic commands He’s sweet, smart, playful, and has that perfect mix of adventure and affection.

Whiskey and both are two year old brothers. They have always been together. These dogs are super sweet and lovable. My husband and I got them from another family nearby a month ago. I am usually always home and available to spend time with them but, the day after we got them my 87 year old mother had a heart attack and went into the hospital. She was in the hospital for 22 days and is now in a skilled nursing facility. I have been at the hospital and now the nursing facility every day. My mom had a very hard time and it was crucial for her to have family around her while she healed. She will be coming home this coming week. Then, two weeks ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I am having surgery at the end of this month. My life has completely changed in the past month. Whiskey and Bolt are very smart, happy dogs but need someone who has the time to spend with them. They are trained to sit, and wait to eat. I am hopeful that there’s a family out there that would like to take both of them.
