I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereWhen Paxton found himself at the shelter, he was very shy and frightened at first. Since being in a foster home, Paxton has gotten to show more of his true personality. He is joyful, silly, and playful.  Paxton is the kind of dog that will benefit from lots of patience and the opportunity to meet people and other dogs at his own pace. A quiet, adult home with another mellow and confident dog would be ideal for him! He is housetrained, super smart, and loves playing ball. Paxton is estimated to be 7-9 months old and weighs just over 20 pounds.  Follow him in foster with @fosterpupsbayarea on Instagram, and click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Adoptable Pups Bae Area (@fosterpupsbayarea)  March 19, 2026, 2:44 pm

Story
Frida would do best in a home with low activity. She loves her adventures outside.. going on walks and hikes, but while in her home Frida would like it to be peaceful and low energy. She would do best with another dog in the home and no with no small children or small animals. Frida is a sweetheart, but she scares easily. A more mellow home with less traffic would help her feel safer. If you have any questions or if you would like to set up an appointment to meet Frida please call 707-459-4900.

Story
Meet Jenna 💛 Jenna is a gentle girl who we’re still getting to know, but so far she’s showing us that she has a sweet and sensitive personality just waiting to shine. She can be a little shy at first and may need some time to adjust to new people and environments, but with patience and kindness, her warm nature begins to peek through. Once she starts to feel comfortable, Jenna shows how affection-motivated she is. She enjoys attention and gentle affection, and bonding with her people will help her confidence grow more and more each day. She has a medium energy level, making her a great companion for a home that enjoys walks, relaxing time together, and helping a pup blossom at her own pace. She does better in a home where people are around most of the time. Jenna is still working on her leash manners and can pull a bit on walks, but with consistency and positive training she’ll continue to improve. Because of her sensitive nature, she’ll do best with adopters who understand that some dogs just need a little extra time to settle in and feel safe. Jenna is not a good match for homes with cats, but with the right patient family, she has the potential to become a wonderfully loyal companion. If you’re looking for a sweet dog to grow with and help build confidence, Jenna might just be the perfect girl for you.

Story
Loki is a happy boy, playing with friends, running about, and giving hugs! He does better being outdoors in a fenced space, he likes most dogs after an introduction and chooses his playmates, typically other males it seems (that can be situational.) He and an old male Aussie and a young Great Pyr have a love triangle, wrestling, humping and chasing each other, they are super cute and silly, he has a strong bond to his buddies, both two-legged and four!! Loki takes his time to warm up to some, and is particular about handling and restraint, not taking it well from people he doesn't know. Loki has a healthy sense of adventure and not the best recall though when he has a runabout here at the Milo Sanctuary he comes back before long. A country life is definitely in order for him! He can be affectionate and gives great hugs. Loki has had physical and other forms of trauma in his life, Loki came to us with a badly broken tail/spinal injury, he's healed and happy guy given his own freedom of movement. He deserves a chance. A country home with adults. He is fine being a predominantly outdoor dog with a buddy. He does not like a harness. Come meet him at our sanctuary!

These pups are in San Francisco, California too!

Story
We adopted Chutney at the SFSPCA in 2023. She is now 3 years old. She was always a shy dog, smallest in her litter when we got her, and under fed. Her shyness disappeared with us, her family, but she is very anxious around new people, particularly men. We have two young children, two daughters in their 20s and our house is like grand central - friends over, new people, play dates and we travel a lot. Chutney has to be medicated because this is the worst possible environment for her fear and anxiety, and our only dog sitter who has known her since puppyhood is moving. She needs a quieter home with only adults, definitely a female primary owner, and lots of exercise. Once she knows a person she adores them (especially if you walk or run her) and is very affectionate. She loves attention, getting pets, is highly food motivated and wants to please, so is well trained and very trainable.

Story
Happy is the sweetest boy. We pulled him at the last minute when he was about to be euthanized. Proved to be kid - cat - dog - people friendly, Happy was fostered to adopt to a person who mis-represented themselves to our rescue and Happy was the one who suffered. He was brought to the person as a perfect little man, but when we were able to get him back, he didn't even know his name! We think the person just left him on his own in the backyard..TOTALLY AGAINST REUNION RESCUE REGULATIONS!! The person in question even kept the toys and gift box filled with doggy starter leashes, collars, halters, balls, a Topple toy and Kongs among other things. We are looking for a great loving home where Happy can learn to be happy again. He is in foster care and loves going to the beach. Reunion Rescue has re-furnished him with new halters, collars, leash and toys. This time, we are looking for a home with lots of love for a little man who deserves so much more than he had at the former place. Help us undo the wrong placement and help put a smile back on Happy's little face! We have a great foster to adopt program and a wonderful holistic care that lasts the long long life of every Reunion Rescue pet...no more huge vet bills! Give us a call today and let's set up a meet and greet with Happy.
