Don`t tell Caboodle he isn`t a lap dog! This strikingly handsome Border Collie/Husky mix can be shy and a bit jump at first, but he warms up quicky and is ready to show you his silly, playful side. He walks well on leash, checks in with you frequently, and is very treat-motivated. He is co-housed with another dog so may get along with your dog (slow introductions please!) SEE HIS VIDEO HERE.and HERECaboodle also went on a doggie day out adventure on 11/2 and had an amazing time! Volunteers noted that he is Friendly, curious, explorer, active, enjoys pets and cuddles, and Loves squeaky toys! They walked though an outdoor art and crafts fair where he got a lot of attention. They then spent time at William Pond recreational park walking a trail. Overall Caboodle had a great day filled with fun and attention! I got him for my parents but unfortunately, they dont have time for him and I cannot keep up with taking care of him and spending time with him to be trained and to be paid attention to, I also canta Afford it anymore. He does need to be socialized, he is under a year old so plenty of time to still train him. He should go to an active home. He loves to play fetch and LOVES to pets. He is good with people but needs to be socialized a little more with kids and other dogs.

Opie is a 10-year-old Border Collie X looking for his forever home with his best buddy in the world "Pal" a 10-year old Jack Russel Terrier x. Talk about opposites attract! We don't know all of their history, but these two came in together from an overburdened shelter and they seem inseparable. When separated they just laid on their dog beds and acted like the world around them didn't exist. They will share a bed, share snuggles, groom each other and give each other a lot of comfort in the stressful shelter environment. Just don't expect them to share their meals or toys! Just like any great couple, they have their limits. If you would like to meet this odd couple, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. It is recommend coming in as early as possible, as adoptions are first-come, first-served.

It's pretty impossible not to love Ahi! Ahi is a 1.5-year-old goofball who is always on the lookout for fun. Like a true herding breed dog, she loves to always be on the move and is a smart girl who loves to learn. She is a special girl as she was born deaf, but that doesn't stop her from being a happy-go-lucky pup. Ahi is full-grown at just under 40lbs. Ahi is currently being fostered by the family who adopted her sister. Unfortunately, Ahi's previous owners were not able to keep up with her exercise requirements and she was returned to the person who bred her mom. Once her foster family heard about her, they wasted no time to come to her rescue and we were happy to make her a YCSPCA dog and help find her fur-ever home. Ahi is a confident girl who loves to explore and make new friends. She has come to a few adoption events and has blown us away with how social she is out and about. She would be a great dog for someone who likes to go to dog-friendly breweries. She is a higher-energy girl, so she needs an active family that will ensure she gets lots of daily exercise and enrichment to keep her busy mind and body happy. Ahi has been doing great learning all her basic manners but still learning how to not get too excited when saying hello, so her new family will need to be committed to working on her training and helping her learn how to be the best girl she can be. She is VERY food-motivated and will do just about anything for a tasty treat. Ahi's lack of hearing doesn't slow her down one bit, but training can be a little more difficult since she can't hear. She needs a dog-savvy family that has experience with deaf dogs or is eager to learn how to work with her and possibly hire a professional trainer to learn how to communicate with Ahi. Ahi loves other dogs and has done well living with other playful medium/large dogs. She can be a little too boisterous for small or older dogs though. Ahi needs a cat-free and would do best in an adult-only home or with kids older than 14 years old. Ahi is housetrained in her foster home, but her new family should be patient with her while she is settling into a new home and routine and expect a few accidents. Ahi is crate-trained and does well in her crate overnight and when her foster family isn't home. Ahi is such a rockstar dog and we know she is going to make a great companion for the right family. I’m unable too keep her due too my wife now being allergic too her and it breaks my heart too let go but she deserves a loving home with good people. Hi, I’m Chucky. With a name like Chucky you’d think I’m kind of scary but I am completely the opposite. I’m a sweet, timid girl who’s really not loving the shelter. I came in with some skin issues but I’ve cleared them and I have a beautiful coat growing in. I’m extremely trusting of humans and I really need someone kind and patient to bring me home and start working on the basics. Volunteers said that I got better at walking on leash quickly but need encouragement (and an occasional lift) along the way. I’m going to be the best dog when I grow up— but I’m already pretty awesome. I’m kenneled with a young boy dog my age and size. I think I would probably love to have a dog friend at home.
