Meet Whisper ! Whisper was very shy when she first came to us, and can still get startled by loud noises. But with patience and attention, she has blossomed into such a lovebug ! Whisper makes human friends easily, and according to one of her Barks n Rec admirers, seems to intuitively sense `dog people`. She`s very smart and LOVES her treats, so while her repertoire may only include `sit` right now, she is sure to catch on to other tricks with practice. She has great leash manners (doesn`t pull & loves to walk by your side, checking in often). She loves car rides & is a polite passenger. She is also potty-trained.. She saw a cat on one of her trips out of the shelter and was interested but not overly-excited, but can definitely pull for squirrels. As with all of our dogs, if you have a cat at home, you can increase your chances of success with very slow introductions (ask us for advice). Whisper, more than anything else, longs for connection. She checks in and wants so badly to please, to give and receive love.
